This story is full of surprises.

Not that I expect historical romances to be realistic but this was too far fetched … it was just silly. I read it through to the end out of respect to the author. But I won’t be reading anymore in the series.

I enjoyed most of the book but the ending was complicated and convoluted. I really enjoy happy endings that answer most of my questions.

There were parts where I got a little bored, and some of the plot was predictable (I think I played too many Nancy Drew games when I was younger), but the premise and story were well written and I enjoyed it. It did not leave off at a cliffhanger (so it’s not necessary to read the second one to find out what happens), but I will definitely be on the lookout for the sequel.

Clunky writing, slow pace, no chemistry between ANYONE. I never felt connected and never felt any reason why I should care about these characters.

Just don’t.

Loved this book. It kept me hanging on until the very end to know what the true ending would be. Lots of twists and turns.

Loved the story line. Kept me intrigued and interested the entire time. Though at some times you need to pay attention because all of characters are introduced. Can't wait to read the next in the series!
