Description

I had a simple life.
I worked two jobs, made ends meet, and hung out with my mom and twin brother. The other part of my life was about avoiding him, but when SWAT raided my boyfriend’s home, that was the last straw. The boyfriend got tossed and to help me keep busy, my brother talked me into joining their old band again, but I had to be honest. It wasn’t a hard sell. Playing drums was in my blood. I used to be addicted and that craving hadn’t been satisfied in three long years. The only problem was their lead singer.
It was him.
The drums might not have been the only thing I was addicted to. I think I was still addicted to him too.

Full-length novel.

Standalone.

This book blew me away. Tijan does it every time. I never have to even question buying her books. I just do it the minute they're released. They are that good. You could say Sustain is about a small town band making it big. You could say it's about young love turned bad. You could even say it's about overcoming crap childhoods to become something so much bigger than you could ever imagine. But you would be wrong. Sustain is so much more. It's raw, edgy and full of angst. Luke, Bri and her twin brother Braden grew up as neighbors. Their common bonds are crap fathers and music. They start a band with Emerson (the twins cousin) and everything is going great until the day Bri finds Luke beaten, bloody and unconscious. That day changed everything for them. Luke watched as Bri moved on to date Eli who is a drug dealer. But soon enough they are brought back together only to realize their need for each other. The chemistry between these two is sizzling hot. I really liked how Luke, Bri, Braden, Emerson, Gunn and even Eli stuck up for one on another when times get hard is pretty amazing. As with every Tijan book, I found myself entranced. From the minute I started until I finished, I couldn't put it down. It's just that good. I highly recommend this book.
