While some tropes are familiar… witches falling for wealthy and ancient vampires… the character development is well-done. The settings and details make it easy to picture in the minds-eye. The idea and reality of love and acceptance still needing warriors and violence to defend it is nice to see. The idea that those who are capable of violence are not necessarily evil is good to see. I was engrossed through the whole series and I appreciate it.

I love the characters in this trilogy. The historical details and settings are fun too. I watched the TV series first, but I loved the extra details and character development in the books.

I read the entire trilogy in just a few weeks. Not because I didn’t have anything to do but because I couldn’t put it down. This book series is timely and hopefully others will see the magic that comes from being released from fear to understanding when accept love unconditionally as it was meant to be.

An honest reader won’t be able to put the trilogy down . And won’t want it to end too. A love so pure and enduring . Who can ever forget the trilogy . A book steeped in history , woven by the threads of pure love and enchantment . I know I will be going back to this story again and again .

Diana and Matthew are both such strong characters. I loved there story.

I purchased these books after watching the first two seasons of A Discovery of Witches. As with all shows and movies based on books, the books were far more intricate and detailed. Love this series of books!

I loved this 3book series. I've read them twice in a row and am now watching the television series. I would love to see a follow up book on what's occurred with the Bishops and the de Clairmonts' with regards to Sutu, Delmonico and Gerbert. Do Diana and Matthew have more children? Etc.
