Description

Novella #5.5 in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling Rose Gardner Mystery series, which falls between Thirty-Two and a Half Complications and Thirty-Three and Half Shenanigans.

While Rose might be reeling from the news that Joe’s ex-girlfriend is pregnant, she’s got bigger issues to deal with. One, putting her business back together albeit with a new partner and into two separate entities; and two, trying to keep the Fenton County Sheriff’s Department from figuring out the true identity of the Lady in Black.

Includes POVs from Violet, Bruce Wayne, Joe, and Mason.

I was really disappointed in the book before this. I loved the others though so I didn't want to give up on the series just yet. This novella was good. I like how she does these from the other characters point of view. Yes there was a lot of repeats but because it's told bt the other characters it wasn't redundant to me. Getting in their head makes for a deeper connection with them. Looking forward to the next novel.

This is a short-story that provides the POV's of Violet, Bruce Wayne, Joe, and Mason. The different POV's provide a little more insight into the supporting main characters of the series. A very quick read.

I love these novellas that Miss. Denise does in between the next full installments of our favorite PI in the making. One reason I love them so much is the fact we get POV's from the other main characters of the series. While the Novels are told from Rose POV, I know that can color or perception of a certain person, so it's nice to see Joe's, Violet's, Mason, etc. version of what is happening. The titles are always perfect for these novellas and this is no different. All the major players are picking of the pieces of the bombs that have been dropped on their lives and figure out a way to move on and find some peace in their lives and with each other

If you haven't read this series you need to start them. I can't put them down and just started reading two weeks ago. I love Rose and Joe and Mason. I wish rose and Joe would have worked but I hope he finds what he needs. I swear it's like these people are real the emotions are real... You can feel them. Denise has to be the best author I have even read. Love it!!

Every single book from this series has been fantastic, I can't take my eyes off of it. I'm obsessed with the foreshadowing & plot twists that lie between the pages of this series. I do not know how much longer I wait for May 17th to arrive!!

Each novel is more interesting than the last. The struggle between Rose, Mason, and Joe has my heart tearing in so many directions, in a good way.
  • Great insight!

I love these POV's books Denise writes! They give you an up close and personal view of each character, their secret motivations. Joe, Violet, Bruce Wayne, and Mason all share a love of Rose, but what else are they up too? Did they pick any up clues to who the Lady in Black is? Every Rose book I read, I am more in love with these characters. It's time to get hooked on Rose too!

This is a novella book that I am absolutely in love with, it explains so much about the previous book and gives you hints about the future books. I'm in love with this series that I have read the series twice so I can pick up subtle hints that Denise leaves in all of her books, love it!!
