Reviews

  • Needs editing and character development

The character development was lacking. The story line was cute but I was uncomfortable with the legalistic view. She needs to be uncomfortable with the speed of the relationship because she has decided (with God if you are Christian) what others are allowed to do to your body… not because of what another person says, including pastors. I had a hard time seeing a difference between the sisters because their personalities were not shown. Grammar errors and awkward wording at times.
  • Didn’t get past the first two chapters

Sadly, between the inconsistencies and grammar errors just in the first couple of chapters, I decided against finishing the rest of the book—let alone the entire series. If the storyline itself was more engaging, I may have pushed through, but instead I was thoroughly disappointed by the antiquated and legalistic Christian dating views it perpetuated from the very beginning. I was raised with such views, and I can honestly say it did more harm than good. There’s nothing wrong with having values and higher standards or aligning yourself with God’s word—but as with many conservative Christians, this writer crosses the line into overly religious.

This book was ok. I don’t have the desire to buy and read about the sisters. There were several mistakes when reading this book (the series is called the Bradley sisters and then referred to her by the guys last name twice.)

  • Good, but not great

This novella had solid content, but the author seems to be in need of a better editor. I found it distracting to find so many errors in spelling and grammar. The story was sweet and had a nice romance, but could have used a bit of polishing. Also, I'm a bit confused about references to a "Proverbs 31 man." Isn't that chapter about a woman?

I enjoyed this story. I would have enjoyed it much more if there were not so many errors in grammar and left out words. Some of the story was not cohesive. You really need a good editor.
