This comment is referring to not just the comic itself, but also to the entire saga (as in volumes 17-20 all together). I did enjoy Reflections, but not completely.
For one it would've been great if we got to know the alternative universe mane 6 more to get to know more on their personalities. I was very disappointed that they only made a few cameo appearances and was expecting to see more of how they are like.
The other disappointment was the ending. I agree with Pinkie's comment, and for a children's comic, the ending turned out to be bittersweet and a bit of a dark one. Although I am thrilled to see that the other Celestia and the other Luna are no longer evil, and I understand that not all endings are meant to be happy endings, I wish that there would've been another way for that to happen other then the good Sombra turning evil.
Maybe there will be another saga based on this other world and I will be more pleased with it. I did enjoy this saga, I just wish it could've been better. ๐

A Comic of Celestial Proportions

I love MLP, but the one pint I wish was given more screen time and exploration (Celestia) does not have it (aside from little pieces here and there). This comic is wonderful, due to the fact that it accomplishes 3 things (warning spoilers):
1. It explores Celestia on a deeper level and gives fuel to my head-cannon that she's damaged (aside from the obvious sister banishing)
2. It makes Starswirl less of a plot-device and more of a character. I'd still enjoy it if we got to actually see him in the show someday, but this will do for now.
3. It takes a not very well developed villain (King Sombra) and turns him into a character you actually enjoy.
The comic is funny at times (really funny), but all in all I'd say that this MLP story is surprisingly tragic for something that's (as Pinkie points out) "Supposed to be a kids comic."
A worthy read though.
I stinging love this book
