To Dally With a Deserter

Marella has been a sea witch her whole life, content to haunt the depths and lure sailors to their doom. But after meeting Elspeth Thistlethwaite, she decides to leave her waters and give up her powers in favor of finding a coven so she no longer has to be alone. But life outside her waters is difficult, and to make matters worse, there's a drunk navy deserter she finds very confusing.

Henry Playfair is on the run from naval officers sent to execute him when he drunkenly catches a ride with an old friend, Captain Cannonball Casanova, and his new wife, Elspeth. It may be the hangover talking, but he could've sworn Marella was an inhuman creature possessing great power and not a beautiful woman he wants to get to know.

When the two of them reach Isla de las Brujas, will they be able to work together to find witches for the coven while evading the British Royal Navy, or will Henry finally meet the executioner?
