⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🔥 “Maybe that’s the point of us.” “We’re here to heal the broken people inside us.” This is the second book in the Beckham Dynasty series and I really enjoyed this book. I’m a sucker for Enemies to Lovers. Cove is Haven’s best friend and she always been close to Haven and her family because her parents never cared about her. Cove has always had a crush on Haven older brother Jace, but one night when she was younger he said some really mean things to her and broke her heart. Jace is a former Navy seal and he is extremely protective of his loved ones. Jace finds himself constantly showing up every time Cove’s in trouble but Jace is also hiding many secrets and in order to save her, he ends up kidnapping her. While he has her they have to pretend to be a couple and they have to get use to each other even thought they don’t get along. As they spend time together they can’t help but give in not only to each other but their feelings they both tried to bury deep. But will Jace be able to save her or will Jace’s past repeat itself? They had both chemistry and banter from the beginning and all the push & pull between them only made their relationship more electric. Overall this book has a bit of everything secrets, suspense, action, some heartbreak, spice and a twist I didn’t see coming. I can’t wait for Ledger’s book. I would recommend if you like: 💚Enemies to Lovers 💚Best friend’s brother 💚Age gap 💚Steamy Scenes🔥 A special thanks to M. Robinson and her team for giving me an ARC!!!

I always love a feisty FMC in the story. Gives off a strong storyline right off the start. Cove is the little sisters best friend and in love with Jace since she was 8 years old. That changes however when Jace’s mother passes away and he takes it out on her. Fast forward to when she’s of legal age and in need of help. He’s now out of the military and always now around her for some reason. Now calling her a nickname of Bunny.. has a mysterious job. This book has some major spice in it. I did feel the ending was a little more rushed than it should have when everything was discovered, but it was still nicely done. I received this ARC through the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing this book, opinions are my own.

Perfect Enemy is the second book in the Beckham Dynasty series, and can be read as a standalone. But, I recommend reading the first book because it’s amazing but you also get a look into Cove’s dynamics and some of her history. This suspenseful, age gap, ex military, sisters BFF, forbidden, Grumpy/sunshine, angsty romance hit all the buttons. It’s sassy, sexy, full of banter, action, heartache but also love. I couldn’t put this book down. Jace and Cove have been in each others lives since Cove was a little girl. She was practically one of the family. They both harbored underlying feelings for one another. The dynamics of watching them fight, banter, the push and pull was epic. What happens when Jace’s hand gets forced and he had to make one of the toughest choices of his life? When Jace’s military/ professional life mixes with his home life? Cove ends up paying the price. Holy Moly! There is a reason why they call Monica the queen of angst. She had me playing a game of chess trying to figure out all the plot twist that were thrown into this story. And, I was truly shocked by the revelations. Through it all, Cove and Jace were able to follow each other on a path to light and love, but it sure did take them a while to get there. Loved getting the updates on the rest of the family. And, I can’t wait to read Ledger and Hazel’s story. Great read

M Robinson does it again, just take my heart and melt it. Cove and Jace 😍 the age gap 🥵 the evolution of their crushes and their love. The heartbreak of losing those you love and the heartbreak of always being alone. It’s a best friends older brother, large age gap enemies to lovers stories and we all know with M Robinson’s books they’re never TRULY enemies, but they swear it’s so. Cove has had a crush on Jace since she was 8, but life happens and the age gap is there so they go along their own journeys until life forces them to be close to one another again. Of course this is another beautifully written love story by the queen of angst and the continuation of her Beckham dynasty series. Her stories will never bore me. I read this story in 1 day and wish I could read it for the first time again. Go grab your copy!!

Grumpy/Sunshine Age-Gap Enemies to Lovers..... my kryptonite! Monica as always delivers a book that hits you in all the places. You rage, you swoon, you feel all the angst. Perfect Enemy takes us on the journey of Jace and Cove and along the way we get pulled more into the Beckham Dynasty!
  • Perfect for each other

4.5 out of 5 stars! This book was so riveting that I read it in a day! The story was so action-packed that it was difficult to put down. Cove and Jace may have had almost 20 years between them, but the age difference paled in comparison to the situations and events both characters had lived through. If not for the Beckham family, Cove would have had no one. The twists and turns in this story... so unexpected. I can't count how many times I gasped out loud as I read. It was anyone's guess if this story would get a happily ever after. The author kept us guessing almost to the end especially with a certain flatline scene. Yet I rooted for this couple. They were perfect enemies, but they were also perfect partners for each other. I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Kindle Unlimited: No Stand-alone: Yes** Author: M. Robinson Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Spiciness Rating: 2/5 🌶 POV: First Person Dual Perspective Main Couple: Jace and Cove Trope(s): Enemies To Lovers, Best Friends Brother, Small Town, Forced Proximity, Age-Gap “The villain was no longer present, he’d been replaced by my hero, simply adding to all my conflicting emotions wreaking havoc all around me. I’d awakened the sleeping beast, and he’d finally come out to play.” This is the second book in the Beckham Dynasty Interconnected Standalone. I would recommend reading books in order to get the full effect. If you read Tempting Enemy Jace and Cove are familiar faces. And, we did get a bit of a feel of their dynamic. Writing this review is so hard because I do not want to give too much away. Monica hits us with a curve ball and it is amazing. Like I gasped when I was reading because not where I thought she was going. This is a slow build, feeling the hate/love, simmering desire, combustible emotions romance with suspense thrown in to mix it up. Jace and Cove are broken in different ways. They fill each other’s cracks. Man, oh man, the angst is so good. Cove Noel is finishing up her Senior Year of High School. Her childhood and distant parents have left a huge void in her life. Although her best friend Haven and her family welcomed her with open arms 24/7, she longed to be the center of someone’s universe. Jace Beckham is the oldest of the Beckham siblings. Recently retired from Military special forces, he is back in his hometown. And, is very verbal with his thoughts about Cove and her life choices. He and Cove are oil and water. On what should have been one of the most memorable nights of her life, she finds her world turned upside down. And, the only man who can come to her rescue- Jace Beckham. Be prepared to have your heart and soul stepped on.
  • Deadly destruction & unwavering love!

Perfect Enemy is deadly destruction when a military man must protect the young woman he was at war with himself not to love. If you can’t get enough of age gap enemies to lovers with shocking situations and hardcore angst this is the book for you! Jace and Cove are very unconventional and they push each others buttons and fight like crazy! Cove just wanted to find a love and a home that was truly hers ~ where she would come first and truly belong. Jace had a heartbreaking career and the guilt ate away at his soul. These two have such an explosive relationships and it broke me just like it did them. When Jace found out the truth, it rocked my world and his too. I don’t really understand the dynamic with Cove’s parents and I wish when the unthinkable happened, we would have gotten a little more info about them. Besides that they s-ck! I get not being around but when the worst happened (without giving spoilers) -NOTHING! I despised them which is the point obviously! All I know is I had a love/hate relationship with grumpy, temperamental Jace the entire book and then I couldn’t help but love him once I understood his broken pieces. Cove & Jace are soulmates and I could have used an even longer HEA because I wasn’t ready for the story to end! Perfect Enemy is action packed with loss, pain, hope and unwavering love where it’s needed most! I could see this being made into a movie because it kept me on the edge of my seat and I threw my kindle a few times because WOW! Tracey, Life Reads With Friends Book Blog

5 ⭐️ Perfect Enemy by M Robinson is the second book in the Beckham Dynasty and it was soooo good! Even though it can be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading the first book as well. I seriously loved this book so freakin’ much that once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. Cove and Jace were EVERYTHING! The push and pull between them was pure fire and their chemistry was out of this world amazing. They say there’s a fine line between love and hate and boy were they right especially with these two. Perfect Enemy is hands down one of my favorite books that M Robinson has ever written. Highly recommend reading it!
