I enjoyed reading this part of Amy's story. The mystery was fun to watch as the clues unraveled. And the interactions between the various characters was fun. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Amethyst and Ambrose's story is an ongoing series of crime solving stories, much like a favorite tv show. Ambrose is a Detective for the Paranormal Police Department, Amethyst is his girlfriend, a wand-making witch, and his consultant on cases with magical elements. With a fun ensemble cast of supporting characters, from fellow officers to those doing forensics, and of course there's Amethyst's family to keep off duty hours interesting, these stories are page-turning quick reads that flow like a great episode of a favorite show. This whodunit messes with plans Amethyst's sister has made, and keeps weddings and marriage in play as a topic of conversation throughout, which is great fun for the reader as it inspires characters to have conversations they may or may not be ready for. I was gifted with a copy of Spells and Bells and chose to share my thoughts.

The time for Topaz’s wedding is fast approaching there’s just a little wrinkle in the plans her wedding cake designer has been murdered. Not to stress, much, Amy and Ambrose are on the case. As they dig they hit one wall after another and Amy worries if they’ll be unable to catch a break and catch the culprit. When another similar murder takes place shortly after they expand their investigation and things start to become clearer. Weddings and murder not the most romantic but it makes for an intriguing case! Another fun read in the Amethyst’s Wand Shop series. Family drama, wedding drama and oh yeah a murder or two to spice things up. I love how the friends and family are woven into the story in and organic and seamless manner. I do miss more of Grammie now that Amy and Topaz have moved into their own places. A great combination of mystery, paranormal and CSI!. Considering how crazy Amy's personal life is with her sisters wedding upcoming, it was not the time for a murder. But of course one pops up and things get crazier all the way around. Amy and Ambrose end up needing to solve 2 murders and survive the wedding and her family. It was fun to read and get to know more of Amy's family.

Amy and Ambrose have two murders to solve. Initially they seem unrelated, but then DNA evidence links them together. Meanwhile Amy also has to deal with her sister’s wedding plans, her flighty (and flirty) parents, and family feuds. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
