As always, her descriptions of landscape are lyrical, her good people depicted with insight and compassion, and I yearn to eat and bathe and sleep in the houses she describes.

Best book. It feels like coming home every time I've reread it ( at least 20 times). Great characters- a sense of what real happiness is about.
