NIV, Holy Bible

I purchased this Bible after some prayer as guidance to what bible I should seek out to read. I’ve been happy with the interpretation of the scripture, but very disappointed with the platform & book application there are and number of problems that I find to be of importance. For a time, I’ve had a suspicion that my notes and highlights within the book have been disappearing here and there. That theory is now evident and I am certain that this is indeed happening. My notes are extremely important to me, if my notes and highlights are just going to disappear, the option in the book for highlights and note-taking are unreliable and therefor the practicality of purchasing this book is evidently a failure on my end. I do my best not to be generally discontent with generally anything, it does not serve to heighten spiritual gain or serve to edify in us in anyway in our walk with Jesus Christ; I have trust He will restore me completely from that which is unjust. In full I do reiterate my dissatisfaction for this specific circumstance, that it may be only an honest review. I did purchased this book and for that reason had expectations that my notes and highlights remain unchanged, this is not the case. Also the book continually being reset back to the beginning is an aggravation. (I do understand this could very well be the apple book platform or somehow my phone) unfortunately from time to time, the book just resets back to unread. This could create dissatisfaction in potential buyers by having your place-mark reset. None the less, it’s not an overall positive experience. Even more, the NIV interpretation is actually completely free in other applications. Making this overall purchase completely impractical and in truth disappointing.

This is not the Red Letter version. If you want the red letter version and for free, IOS has an app called NIV BIBLE APP + by Olive Tree.

I saw this Version of the NIV on another iPad. Loved the ease of use and bookmarks so I purchased for my iPad. Whatever changes they made the copy I bought is terrible. Bookmarks are worthless. I wish I had the reviews before I purchased. Others had the same issue.

There are a lot of books and chapters that have margin errors. They are so squished together that there is maybe one word per line making it almost impossible to read.

Very poor app. No identification of where you are except a page number? Limited functionality. Coming from droid device app like Holy Bible that has multiple additions and is user friendly seemed like I backed up 10 years.

All the content is here, in the right order, but they didn't make the ePub file correctly, so the iOS bookmarking system is useless. On page 2056 it still says "preface". Please fix and I'll update my rating.

If you forget what chapter you are reading at times, then don't buy this bible. There is no reference on the page to indicate the chapter. Not really happy with the navigation or references. I'm still searching for a better book.
