Description

The complete 3-book historical Christian fiction series by the New York Times bestselling author of Redeeming Love and The Masterpiece.

Travel to first-century Rome in this classic biblical fiction series and discover what has inspired millions of readers worldwide. The three books in the Mark of the Lion series are packaged into one volume.

A Voice in the Wind, the first book in the trilogy, introduces readers to Hadassah, a young Jewish girl captured and sold into slavery but still holding firm to her faith in God. Though torn by her love for a handsome aristocrat, Hadassah becomes a shining beacon of light in the darkness and depravity around her.

In An Echo in the Darkness, Marcus, a wealthy Roman aristocrat touched by Hadassah’s sincere belief, begins to wonder if there’s more to this life. As he continues to search for meaning and faith, he is led by a whispering voice from the past that could set him free from the darkness of his soul.

The trilogy concludes with As Sure as the Dawn, which follows Atretes, the high chief of a Germanic tribe who fought as a gladiator and won his freedom. As Atretes sets out to return home with his infant son, only one thing stands in his way: Rizpah, a Christian widow who has cared for the baby since his birth.

All three books in this latest collection include:

• A preface from Francine Rivers about her inspiration for these books
• A glossary of historical terms for easy reference
• Discussion questions for personal and group use

Join millions of readers who have been captivated by this popular tale of love, courage, and faith.

“Francine Rivers puts readers right into the history of the moment.”
Romantic Times

“Francine Rivers without a doubt is one of the finest storytellers of our generation. . . . No one reading her books will ever be the same again.”
Debbie Macomber, New York Times bestselling author

“As we ‘watch’ Hadassah and Atretes struggle through first-century trials, we learn how to handle similar situations in the twenty-first century. The ‘costumes’ may vary, but our Lord does not change.”
Angela Hunt

“Francine redefined Christian fiction―honest, unflinching, powerful, life-changing―demonstrating why storytelling is the most effective way to communicate God’s truth. Every Christian novelist writing today owes a debt of gratitude to Francine Rivers for lighting the way.”
Liz Curtis Higgs

“Francine Rivers writes from her heart to touch the hearts of her readers. Her books are essential reading for all who love Christian fiction.”

I first read “A Voice in the Wind” when I was a young adult in college. It was one of the most harrowing, inspiring, life-changing books I’ve ever read. This book taught me about what true faith and Christianity is. It taught me what it really means to love Christ with your whole heart no matter the consequence. It taught me what true love looks like. Every time I read it I am blown away by the lessons I learn and Hadassah’s heart. This series is a true work of art and worth much more than the asking price.

The beginning of the first book was really hard to read, because it was setting the stage for the early days after the crucifixion in Jerusalem, but if you can get through it, you WONT regret it! This series was amazing and so down to earth, I highly recommend it.

I started with the first book in the series, and like "Redeeming Love", I had to force myself to stop reading so that I could go to bed! Set in a time when it was dangerous to be a Christian, we learn from a child slave, then a young woman, what it means to put your faith in God. We learn how to pray in the midst of danger. We learn that with God, all things are possible, This book will strengthen your faith, and you will also learn a few history lessons! If you but this book, you will NOT be disappointed!
  • Another GRAND SLAM!!!

There are not enough stars to give to show how AMAZING this series is! This series and Redeeming Love are the most awe inspiring, most amazing books that have ever been written, outside of the Bible. God has given Francine an extraordinary gift to write and to share His love through story telling... Please do yourself a favor and read these books! If you have trouble getting into it at first, please continue and you will NOT be sorry! The only bad thing is the books end and you will crave more! Please continue to write Francine!
