Journey to the White House is a story about the Crenshaw High School Digital Team accepting a classroom challenge from their teacher, Apple Distinguished Educator, Daphne Bradford, to become a 21st Century example of what President Barack Obama’s Blueprint for Change in Education looks like inside the inner-city classroom. As the Journey to the White House story spread, students from other high schools began to take responsibility for their education and joined the journey. Using Apple’s innovative digital media technology to accomplish their goal, teen authors Diana, Trestan, Mia, Rene, Esaul, Bryce, Kevin and Domonic wrote about their "Big Dream" to meet and share their story with President Barack Obama. There were history making successes, unforgettable disappointments and invaluable lessons learned that will last a lifetime. Parents, friends, the South Los Angeles community and various corporations supported the teens by helping them fundraise to make their Journey to the White House a success.
