For thousands of years, the people who did not have the knowledge of the person, or reality of God, worshipped their own ideas of God. He has been made like many things other than what He really is.... We therefore can reason that if we don't know the Creator, then we don't understand His Creation or the laws and principles that govern it. All prophets, sages, gurus and persons of knowledge was, is and shall be governed and subject to these laws; this should clue us in on the fact that these same natural laws of the Creator can serve as a criteria or standard of judgment.

If what you believe doesn't correspond to this standard - which transcends time and geography - it has no place in it. In other words, the only way a person can walk on water is symbolically or the water would have to be ice; otherwise, it doesn't correspond to the Creator's law governing this creation.
