    Even if you have rape fantasies, I’m not sure how this is a good read. I know there are people who like this book, but I don’t get it. The hero becomes vaguely likable at the end, but only if you forget he’s a rapist slave owner who facilitates the rape of his slaves by his friends.

    One of my favorite books! Read this when I was 17 and just reread it again. I was surprised how much I remembered of it considering it’s been 25 years since I read it last. That’s goes to show how memorable it is. Loved it the first time, loved it this time.

    The best Viking book ever !! I really loved this story , love, mystery, excitement, on and on , when I read this it had me in tears one min and then feeling joy the next , a beautiful ending for a fate that you would have thought to turn out to be bad in the end wasn’t ! A must read series!
