Description

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow. In the Prologue to The Gathering Storm, the first volume of the last trilogy of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time epic, Rand al’Thor, the Dragon Reborn, struggles to unite a fractured network of kingdoms and alliances in preparation for the Last Battle. As he attempts to halt the Seanchan encroachment northward---wishing he could form at least a temporary truce with the invaders---his allies watch in terror the shadow that seems to be growing within the heart of the Dragon Reborn himself.
As with the previous three titles in the Wheel of Time series, this prologue from Robert Jordan’s The Gathering Storm, completed by Brandon Sanderson, is available for sale before the book’s official release date (October 27, 2009).

At the publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management software (DRM) applied.

This prologue is included in the next book A Gathering Storm. Just skip it and read it with the next book.

This book is not 11.5 and should be removed from read next. I’m going to request my money back. Read the Prologue in book 12.

Bought because iBooks said it was ‘next’ but it’s just the prologue from the next book, not added material.
  • Do not buy - should not be on iBooks

Great story, per usual for WOT, but this is nothing but the prologue that is included in the regular novel, The Gathering Storm. It looks like this was published prior to the regular novel which presumably gave rabid fans the option of buying the prologue a month before the novel came out but this is completely pointless for those of us who are not reading it in real time. This book should be removed from iBooks. I will be asking for my money back.
