Description

From New York Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen, a terrifying novel of deadly proportions as an ER doctor tries to determine the cause and cure of a fatal and mysterious virus before it becomes an epidemic.

The quiet overnight shift at Springer Hospital ER suits Dr. Toby Harper just fine—until she admits a man in critical condition from a possible viral infection of the brain. The delirious man barely responds to treatment—and then disappears without a trace. Before Toby can find him, a second case occurs, revealing a terrifying fact: the virus can only be spread through direct tissue exchange. Following a trail of death that winds from a pregnant sixteen-year-old prostitute to her own home, Toby discovers the unthinkable: the epidemic didn't just happen—someone let it loose....

this novel was nail biting you just wanted to see how it ended! if you love medical thrillers and or in medical school Tess gerriten's medical thrillers are a must read! what makes them particularly good is the plausibility of the story line. when you find out the motive you have to take a step back and see wow this actually makes sense and could actually happen in real life which makes it raise your adrenaline levels even more. have been an avid reader of her books for awhile and as usual she never disappoints hopes she comes out with new medical thrillers like this. the rizolli and isles series is lovely too esp the surgeon and the bone garden. but would love to see more of her medical thrillers. this book was worth every penny!!!!!!!! keep your lights on and makes you wonder about your next visit to the doctor lol

Like opera and the bible, Tess Gerritsen's "Life Support" brims over with blood, sex and violence, all blended together in a deliciously contrived plot involving the medical world and some of it,s evildoers. This author has that knack of keeping the reader from doing necessary chores, because one just can,t put the book down. A true page turner.
