When a Halloween Party turns deadly, it falls to Hercule Poirots to unmask a murderer in Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery, Hallowe’en Party.

At a Halloween party, Joyce—a hostile thirteen-year-old—boasts that she once witnessed a murder. When no one believes her, she storms off home. But within hours her body is found, still in the house, drowned in an apple-bobbing tub.

That night, Hercule Poirot is called in to find the `evil presence'. But first he must establish whether he is looking for a murderer or a double-murderer...

I had forgotten how much fun it is to read the Poirot series. After watching the beloved tv series, it’s fun to go back and read these books. Certain characters are so much more alive.

I figured this one out. It was funny to see the author as a character. But …spoiler alert- I didn’t like reading about a child’s death. Some books haunt you afterwards and this one did because of that.

Wonderful book. Not frightening, but definitely intriguing. Hercule Poirot is on the case. He is a detective in a multitude of her books, but you do not have to read them to understand this book.

It’s not frightening, but freaking. A slaughterer with a special instinct. Recommended for bold readers, and don’t read it at night.

I have never been disappointed in an Agatha Christie mystery. This was was no exception. Her books are comfort food for my soul. This story was a little more difficult as it included murder of children, but Ms. agatha handles this so well, and there is justice in the end. Definitely read this.
