Jack Reacher gets caught up in a kidnapping. The victim is the daughter of a general and she is an highly trained FBI agent. The kidnappers are a cult who have separated themselves from America as an independent country. Non stop action and suspense. An excellent read!! My highest recommendation!!

So captivating. I couldn’t put it down until I’d read the whole story!

Glock 17 is not called Glock 17 because of the capacity. Glock 17 was Gaston Glocks 17th patent.

Great story. Love the plot. Definitely a fan of the series. There are few time throughout the story that descriptions drag on for multiple pages. One of the few things in my opinion that kept me from rating the book as a five.
  • Awful. Just awful.

I’ve read most of Lee Child’s books. Some great, most good. This was awful. I read a lot - maybe 100+ books a year. This was one of the worst books I’ve ever read. Let me save you time on the plot: Reacher accidentally kidnapped with a general’s daughter by a crazy militia. Then several hundred pages later, they escape/get rescued. Nothing else. Nothing. Can I rate this with 0 stars? How bad was this? I stopped reading with 3 chapters remaining. Not sure how I got that far.

Loved the plot line and the details. Hate it that he didn’t settle with Holly as they seemed well together. I just really enjoy an author who adds some depth in but is not overdoing it. I used to be James Patterson fan but his books have been becoming dull and storylines are uninteresting. Lee Child has me sold on this series!

Horrendous and incredulous story line. I am a former FBI agent and in no logical world would three agents armed with only six-shot revolvers attempt to rescue a person from over 100-armed militia personnel who mostly are armed with semi-automatic weapons. There are too many other incredulous plot lines to list or to waste my time exposing. Sadly, this is someone simply writing for a paycheck. In my opinion—not worth reading whatsoever.

There were some unnecessary details (in my opinion) that slowed down the action pace, but i understand they may have been necessary for people unfamiliar with certain weapons or aspects of the military. Still couldn’t put it down.
