Description

THE FIRST PSY/CHANGELING NOVEL

“My favorite series of all time! Slave to Sensation is where the magic started, and I will never shut up about it.”—Ali Hazelwood, #1 New York Times bestselling author

“Utterly addictive and thrilling...this is hands down one of my favorite series ever!”—Ana Huang, #1 New York Times bestselling author

In a world that denies emotions, where the ruling Psy punish any sign of desire, Sascha Duncan must conceal the feelings that brand her as flawed. To reveal them would be to sentence herself to the horror of “rehabilitation”—the complete psychic erasure of everything she ever was…Both human and animal, Lucas Hunter is a Changeling hungry for the very sensations the Psy disdain.

After centuries of uneasy coexistence, these two races are now on the verge of war over the brutal murders of several Changeling women. Lucas is determined to find the Psy killer who butchered his packmate, and Sascha is his ticket into their closely guarded society. But he soon discovers that this ice-cold Psy is very capable of passion—and that the animal in him is fascinated by her.

Caught between their conflicting worlds, Lucas and Sascha must remain bound to their identities—or sacrifice everything for a taste of darkest temptation…

This is the foundation for all books which came after. A great read with all the details to tie the other books together.

I read the 4 Guild Hunter books and liked them so I decided to give this series a try. I don't know. Maybe I just can't get with cats but they don't appeal to me as much as wolves and vamps. The story was creative but so far fetched I had trouble making it seem real in my mind, so I could enjoy it more. Not sure if I will read any others in the series. I think my money is better spent on something I will enjoy more. I liked the "free" Nicky Charles books more than this one.

There is nothing better than finding a new author I can devour. I'm a devoted JR Ward and Karen Marie Moning fan and happily look forward to every release. This author just got added to the list. The story was fresh and well written. I found myself almost resentful when life intruded and I had to put the story down. The Psy concept was hard to conceive at times, but then I imagine trying to describe something like she dreamed up would be difficult to do. It was the interactions with the changelings that I found myself drawn to the most. Lucas was down right yummy. I highly recommend this book.

A new world of humans, Psy (beings with no emotions or feelings), an Changelings (shapeshifters). Always different, Sascha had to hide her true self from the rest of the Psy. She meets a changeling Panther trying to solve a serial killer's abduction from the neighboring wolf pack. Very good romance, would highly recommend.
