My family and I had a history of back problems. In the early 90s I read this book for the first time. Within a year my back problems were over. Over the years I read the book about 4 times more and stayed pain free for almost 30 years ! Finally after not reading the paper back version for about 15 years I once again had some back issues. So I finally bought the digital copy and I’m confident that the back pain will stay away. I’ve kept the hard copy on my side table for all these years just as a reminder. It will remain there even though I have the iPad version. Read it and read it again. It will help most people. RIP Dr Sarno.

Although the psychology here isn’t as sophisticated as modern psychology is, this book still resonates. If you feel stuck in chronic pain and have tried many avenues - if you are tired of feeling more and limited physically and like you can’t do things you enjoy - then read this book and see if it resonates. Game changer.

I only wish I could personally thank this doctor for his true study towards this awful and painful condition. Thank you Dr. Sarno for making my life better and educating me so that I can see the truth and root cause of my back pain which was not ever discussed by any other Doctor, chiropractor or physical therapist and its 2016 for cripes sake! I was desperate to know more about how the mind affects the body. I had suffered from anxiety and depression. My severe back pain kept me from being able to exercise regularly because I was dealing with excruciating pain. I do have a large herniated disc and the doctors expected that I would be in severe pain. I'm 32 years old and have a perfectionist/ people pleasing personality. I was at to very bottom of the barrel, praying and asking God to help me with this pain. I some how found it on iBooks (divine intervention) and couldn't stop reading it. This book made so much sense to me and truly has changed my life to understand the true root core of the problem which is unfortunately not accepted because there is no money to be made for the treatment.

I know it sounds improbable at first. But give it a chance and keep on reading. Most people will not accept this until they run out of options. I know that I didn't... If you're not ready to accept it, just keep it in the back of your mind that it is here waiting for you when you are ready. When the student is ready, the teacher will arrive. Thank you Dr. Sarno for saving my life!

I was off work for 13 month with neck and back and tail bone pain. After reading all 3 books I have learned about mind and body connection. Just reading the books has helped me return to work and live a productive life style. I'm running 4-5 miles daily and my pain sometimes comes back but not to a point of keeping me from leading a happy fulfilled lifestyle. Thank you Dr. Sarno.

I bought this iBook yesterday and read it from cover to cover. The ideas speak to me on an intuitive level and already I am developing an awareness of what I have been distracting myself from. The ideas are fairly radical compared to modern conventional medicine, but then again most true healing is. I recommend this book for anyone suffering with so-called sciatica.

I read this book for the first time a few years ago and I didn't grasp it the first time. This time my back hurt so much I couldn't play golf or sit on an airplane.i tried chiropractors and acupuncture but nothing worked. I read the book over a weekend and most of my pain is gone!!!

John Sarno is a quack doctor and as one who has had spondylolesthesis corrected I would like to comfort everyone who suffers from this diagnosis and feels like a complete and utter failure for having read dr sarno's irresponsible delivery of misinformation. He should be stripped of his license to practice medicine.
