Well written as a stand alone story that makes me want to go back and read the first books in this series. Great characters in a good storyline!

Emery and Holden gave me a story I wasn’t expecting, but found that I absolutely needed! She’s a single mom with a divorce fresh on her mind. He’s a commitment-phobic man with a string of women in his not too distant past…and present. But there’s so much more to both of them than meets the eye that I was hooked from the first page. As much as these two, or one of them, tries to fight the attraction, it’s there. And growing. And communication seems to be pretty good between Emery and Holden. They’re on the same page. Well, maybe. He wants them to be, and she’s trying to let go of her fears to get there. But when trouble rears up in the form of a controlling person who refuses to accept that they’re firmly in the rear view mirror, it’s difficult to tell which way this might go. I mean, Holden is all in on Emery and her kids, but what if things change in the future? What if it’s too much? And Emery loves Holden, but what if her kids need her more? Will he stick through thick and thin? Or will callous words from someone who should support him and his wants break them before their time should be done? This is an excellent story of divorce, betrayal, starting over, and finding your voice. Emery finds hers with Holden at her back. Holden finds a way to share his past with Emery at his. And amazingly, the friction and bumps in their journey are all necessary for both of them to realize just how tied to each other they are. Add in that last chapter and I’m anxious to know how Lyric might fare with her own man drama!

Great characters, a relatable storyline and an entertaining supporting cast made for a delightful read. I loved how the author made these characters relatable yet also intriguing. I was swept away by the enticing scenes between them waiting for the story to play out. I loved it. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nail and bail. That’s normally Holden’s motto. However, when it happens to him, he is miffed. But don’t worry. Not for long, until he meets Emery again when he’s coaching and she’s a hot mess of chaos. A divorced mom with kids!

My first read of the series and I’m a fan. Drool worthy male who falls for a strong woman made for an enjoyable romance read. Single mom of four kids Emery has her hands full, but when she takes a night out for herself she meets Holden and had a steamy night. He didn’t expect her, but he wanted more. What happens next was a sweet small town story with wonderful characters and a romance worth fighting for. This is a definite must read and I can’t wait for more!

An out of town single mom wants a night off for adult time. She ends with her one night stand judging her weeks later at a youth game. Yep, I said that. Holden couldn’t believe this woman had kids as in multiple. His family once again like the Barons are judgmental. He wants a good time while getting to know her, but her baggage may be too much for this bachelor. I did enjoy reading this; it made me laugh at times and then cry. It is so sad how this woman endured her life struggles and betrayals. Can her heart open up? Can Holden step up?

This was an absolutely awesome romance between a single mom with 4 kids. YES FOUR!!! And Holden who is extremely single, claims to not want kids but who is also helping to coach a bunch of kids. He meets Em and suffers from insta lust but she has so much going on she has no time for romance. But Holden decides he wants her, and he doesn't just fall for her but also all her kids too. I loved this book so much. Honestly its prob my absolute favorite that I have read by this author ever. I loved Holden and Em, I only hated that it ended. But it's one I am sure I will re-read again. There is a little bit of drama as Em has an ex who drives her a bit crazy. I did like that he doesn't just disappear and he does still try and see his kids.
