To God and My Country

To God and My Country follows the journey of a scout as he learns the hard lessons of leading at an early age. The story follows the author as he matures through his experiences with his fellow scouts. You'll cheer for these young men as they traverse canyons, climb mountains, hold elections, and ask the difficult questions.

While you read To God and My Country, you will adventure with these explorers in the rugged terrain of the southwest. You will learn that nature challenges our resolve and our very ability to work together. Finally, you will appreciate your own friendships. As you look out the window, you will be inspired to go outside on your own adventures, and to one day soar like an eagle!

Matt Kunz is an entrepreneur, author, and former city councilman in Milton, GA, where he also served as president of a non-profit. Before he played football at the University of Notre Dame, he earned the rank of Eagle with Troop 249 in the Las Vegas valley. To God and My Country is a tribute to his friends from Troop 249, and to all scouts everywhere.
