Description

She's perfect as a fake girlfriend -- until all those pretend kisses turn smoking hot.

Chloe believes in two things: Russell is her soulmate and her pies are wishing magic. One bite of her cherry pie and he’ll declare her “the one.”

Jaded attorney Nick doesn't believe in magic OR Russell's intentions with Chloe. Pies making wishes come true? Pffft.

But she's perfect for him—as a fake girlfriend to appease his family-friendly boss. She's in love with someone else, after all. And he doesn’t do love, especially not with someone so bubbly, so dewy-eyed, so committed to marching down a wedding aisle.

Plus this girl needs help when it comes to men--a lot of it. He'll help her lure Russell into dreaded wedded bliss, so long as she'll pose as his date.

Except Chloe's wishes begin to go haywire—starting with granting Nick's and turning all those fake kisses into smoking hot moments of passion.

It turns out Chloe’s not as innocent as he first thought.

If you love books by Tessa Bailey, Meghan Quinn and Lucy Score you’ll love this fake dating, laugh out loud, opposites attract romcom.

New book and author alert! I had not heard of this book or author until I was scrolling through Booksprout. It sounded interesting and had a unique premise; problem is though that it was a slow burn sorta fake relationship/love triangle. Chloe believes her pies are magic. She got her “powers” and recipes from her Nana. She makes special pies and then makes a wish and it will most likely come true. She is trying really hard to get her crush/soon to be boyfriend to eat her pie so her wish will come true and they can be together. Unfortunately a new guy (Nick) comes into the picture and ruins her plans every time. Russell (her crush) is not into trying her pies and has his eyes set on the new French teacher. Which upsets Chloe so she ends up starting a fake relationship with Nick all while trying to get Russell to pay attention to her. I wish I could give this book 5 stars because it was entertaining and I liked Nicks character but Chloe was too much into Russell for my liking. I wish she would have realized sooner that Nick was right and she deserved better. Too many people chasing after another person so it was kind of a weird love triangle fake relationship turned real relationship with someone still not getting the hint at the end.
