    Gothic creepiness and a killer tarn that…well that would be a spoiler, makes this retooling of EAP’s H of U pages a’flyin masterwork. T. Kingfisher is my new favorite author. On to the sequel. If you like this…check out “Mexican Gothic “

    I picked this book out at 10 pm and thought I might read a few pages before drifting off. About 3 am my kid got up to use the restroom and scared me to death with the creaking of the floor boards. I finished with a sigh of relief as dawn broke so I could go to bed.

    Wow… the possibility of a reality of the horror to be real.. is scary. I really can see it happening. I am very glad I got to read the book. It was just pass my imagination gap and I cannot help but think of it still.

    This book made me look at my fish tank with a little bit of concern. It was a slow build up but stayed interesting. Satisfying ending. I would revisit at a later date for a reread.

    More than horror. (Unlike Twisted Ones & Hollow Places, which I had to keep putting down to let the scary "bleed off." The narrator is awesome here and I look forward to sequels!
