Description

One determined detective. One thorough medical examiner. And the serial killer that brings them together.

Connecticut State Police Detective Wesley Dawson will stop at nothing until this maniac serial killer is locked up and put away for good. With bodies piling up and his older sister living on the streets, Wes refuses to let anything get in his way. The crimes are gruesome, and nobody is safe with a vicious killer on the loose.

Medical examiner Ali Jenson is the best in the business, but even these cases are too brutal for her. The deaths are beginning to get to her. Ali's strength and courage won't falter; she'll do everything she can to help Wes. But when the killer starts hitting a little too close to home, the stakes are higher than either of them ever imagined. With time running out, can they take down the killer before it's too late?

Well written story that kept my attention at all times. I appreciate the research that obviously was done on crime scene and investigative procedure, making for an accurate description of an ongoing and unfolding investigation. Well done!

Lot of suspense to this story & some romance for mature readers. Wished there were more about his sister but as most authors anymore always have to have a missing sister I guess to keep a story going. Wished authors would realize we readers are up to our eyeballs with the same old story. I know I have seen it expressed often. October 8 2024 Camie12

I liked the storyline and characters, but there were a lot of typos that were really distracting. I began to wonder if the book had been formatted differently than it was on my tablet. There were quite a few words that had hyphens in them followed by a space and then the rest of the word. They were not words that should have been hyphenated either. At one point in the story I thought the writer was referring to someone else, instead of Dawson, because in the next sentence she is speaking about “Wes”. I had to go back and reread to see if I missed something?!? She was actually referring to Dawson, but this other character apparently called him Wes, very confusing.

Book 1 in the Memories of Murder series. It hooks you from the start and holds your interest throughout. It's filled with lots of suspense and twists and turns. It's paced out really well/fast paced but draws you in so much that you won't want to put it down. Really enjoyed this and look forward to book 2. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
