Sins of a King

At first, I wasn’t too sure about the main character. The first few chapters seemed so cliche, a little outdated and hard to turn the pages. Honestly, I almost gave up on this but I was in the mood for books. Glad I stayed put and pushed through because the details and the planning of the events made this book a page turner. At some points I figured out the outcome but the development was interesting. The main character, Barrett, definitely grew on me and I admired how much she changed after what she endured. Power couples. Huge plus was the limited perspectives. I am NOT a fan of multiple perspectives because I like to leave that to my imagination but this book provided just enough and not overkill. And it was fun reading while trying a Gaelic accent! On to Book 2.

Romantic, beautiful, visual writing. Do not miss out on these books. Emma Slate, you are my favorite new author.

Just read the first book. It’s a good story, but I felt the main character Berrett was disconnected and not emotionally invested. Almost like a robot. Sex lacked as well. So I’m not going to read anymore of this series since the first booked failed. There are books that I read that I just can’t put down, so gripping that I’ll read an entire series in just a couple of days. But this book, I put down after a week and inlay came back because I spent money to read it.

This books captures your attention right away. It’s intriguing, and the chemistry is off the charts. The characters are unique and well written about. I love this author! Must read❤️

Emma is an amazing writer! All her books are so detailed and descriptive in an amazing way! She is on my top list and I can't wait to collect all her books in paperbacks. Sins of A King is way to start, you will get addicted to Flynn and Barrett and you won't be able to stop. Chapters after chapters is always something to look forward too!

Great read, so much action packed into this first book, couldnt wait to start the next one. Flynn is my kind of man!

Emma Slate is amazing!!!! I love the Sin series! This series is an amazing tell of such interesting characters, that come to life in a series of books that the author keeps readers addicted to each book to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book and all the others in this series.
