    Nessa thought she loved her best friend only to see that he really loved their friend ! Miles is the geeky math nerd who is mysterious and gorgeous with lots of demons to work though. One night and a few drinks at a part and everything changes for both of them !!!! Can they both move past there own issues to find a love together……

    The next story in On My Own series gives us Miles and Nessa story. Friends to lovers is my go to read and their journey was sweet, emotional and steamy. She was always in his sight but as a friend and nothing more, when she needs help he steps up. And what happens next makes for a swoon worthy, heartfelt romance read. I enjoyed their story of finding their HEA with all the drama and feels that kept me flipping the pages until the end. I love this series and can’t wait for more!

    This was a story that needed to be told. Nessa felt so much embarrassment about Pacey and Miles has just watched her from afar. When Nessa decided that she wants to date outside their group it leads to unimaginable consequences and Miles is there for support and backup. Nessa has trouble letting friends in and that included Miles. Once they got out of their own way they realized they were perfect for each other and were stronger together than apart. This was a great story with 2 people that were stronger than they gave themselves credit for.

    My Next Play by Carrie Ann Ryan was a sweet, charming, and emotional friends to lovers story. Miles has always noticed Nessa, but she never really saw him, until now. When she needs help, he is there for her. They each had issues they were working through separately that affected who they are. As friends, they learn to lean on each other and soon become more. Could they find what they were always looking for? I am loving this series! This was a great read! Happy reading!

    “On My Own” follows Nessa, our sweet friend who thought she was in love with Tanner in “My Rebound” & quite, nerdy, (but bulky) friend Miles. One drunken night, Nessa kissed Miles and neither wants to ruin their friendship by bringing it up. This is a will they or won’t they story for the first part of their story. Nessa tries to get over her hurt feelings from Tanner by dating other people and she’s trying to undo/rectify the awkwardness in their friendship circle she created by thinking she was in love with Tanner. Miles is trying to be a good friend and support her until she is ready to move on. He has his own feelings & emotions of the past he is dealing with that makes him feel like He isn’t a good enough to be more than friends with Nessa. This story has a lot of angsty push and pull throughout the book. Overall, good story, but I would have liked a little more sizzle with these two. As a nerdy type person, I am super happy for there to be a character like this in the CA world! 4.5/5 stars
