Description

The Insiders is the first in a brand new, page-turning romance trilogy from New York Times bestseller, Tijan!

Bailey is as normal as could be, with a genius IQ and a photographic memory. But still, normal for her. Then, things happen—a guy breaks into her house in the middle of the night to take her hostage. She finds out her father is actually billionaire tech genius Peter Francis, the same guy she’s idolized all her life. She learns all this when she meets dark, mysterious, and electrifying Kashton Colello. He’s an associate of her father’s, and he gives Bailey two choices—go with him and meet her father or survive on her own because those kidnappers are going to try again. It’s a no-brainer.

After this, three things become clear for Bailey:

1. She’s living at her father’s sprawling estate, complete with bodyguards and the best security that money can buy.

2. She’s no longer an only child. She has three siblings and has no idea what to do with them and vice versa.

3. She is being guarded by Kash himself. Personally guarded. And there is a lot of guarding going on there and some of it is going to drive her crazy.

A complete outsider in a world of wealth and decadence, Bailey has to find her way within a family that has more secrets than she could have imagined. One of these secrets could be deadly…

I bought this book when it was first released on iBooks. However, I waited to read it. It is not I was not interested. I paced myself. I saw there was a second book, The Damaged. I went ahead and preordered without reading The Insiders. I was that confident on Titan’s books. I even read Canary, another freaking hit by the way!❤️ I finally read it today, binged on it all day! So swoon worthy WORTH IT! My gosh Kash is so hot and alpha. He has some resemblance to Mason from the Fallen Crest series. 🥰 I love it! Poor Bailey…she was lied to most of her life, thrust into a crazy, vindictive, betrayal, full of lies world. Wow! I cannot wrap my brain all around that. Growing up with a single mom and then discovering a whole other family was a difficult adjustment. No spoilers here. Kash is a whole other story. How will these 2 survive the next wave after a family betrayal? Must wait till February 😭 This is why I had to pace myself. I cannot wait🤩 I love your work Tijan! Continue the stories! This is definitely a super hit!

I listened to the audio of this book. Tijan took me on a ride and I wasn’t ready to get off. I loved the way this story was built with Bailey slowly getting introduced to the characters and quickly finding herself emotionally attached to most of them. The banter between Bailey and Kash was top notch and Kash’s exchanges with Matt also made me giggle. I thought Emma Galvin embodied Bailey very well, showing how obviously uncomfortable she was in this new world at first and how she grew in to a formidable person that anyone should reconsider picking a fight with. I am excited that we get to go back into this world next year.

I have always loved her writing. I could re read her stories dozens of times. BUT WHAT HAPPENED? There had to be a ghost writer. I’m suddenly disappointed for waiting all that time and spending money on that “bore”. 😏

This is another great read from Tijan. It deserved more than 5 stars. After Fallen Crest Series, this is going to be another epic story. This is another one that I could not stopped reading and had to find out what happened next. Can’t wait for next one. By the way, love all of her books.

Tijan hardly ever disappoints. Can’t wait for the next book. FYI, the book ends in a cliffhanger.

Kash and Bailey. Man, they might rival with Mason and Sam. I love them so much. I’m kind of mad at myself for reading all of this on its release date. I honestly wish I would’ve taken my time, but then again I’m glad I didn’t/& couldn’t. I can’t wait to continue their story in the next book. 💙

I love Tijan books and this one definitely didn't disappoint. Bailey is a computer genius. Her life gets turned upside down when someone is trying to kidnap her. Kash is good at what he does. Putting out fires and protecting people. Bailey learns who her father is and has to make a choice to either live with him or live with her mother. I don't know how she put up with what she did. I would have told them off. Kash has some secrets too. I learned a lot about Kash, Bailey and Peter. It keeps you on your toes that is for sure. I needed to know what happened next, I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait to see what happens next. Evil grandfather comes to play. Another great read Tijan. Love it.

I just love living in the world's of Tijan! This new world she has created with Bailey, Kash, Peter and all the Francis' and more, has this power to just draw you in and keep you captivated. I feel like I'm on the sidelines of a tennis match, watching intently to everything that is happing form all sides. The main characters, Bailey and Kash, are an odd pairing but they fit so well. She's a computer genius with a photographic memory. She is beautiful but not a polished beauty. Kash is a polished beautiful. He's from a world everyone envies and wants to be a part of. He's also extremely powerful and connected. As a man, you do not want to mess with Kash, but as a woman, you dream of getting a chance to mess with him. I'm super intrigued with the ending and where the story will go from here. I am invested and want more!
  • an interesting and well written novel

Tijan is one of my all time favorite authors. I typically devour all of her books and so I was thrilled when I read the synopsis of this novel. There were several elements of the book that I enjoyed and then some areas where I struggled. I positively love this author’s unique writing style. She has such a way of conveying the heroine’s thoughts that I feel like I am present in her mind. This was especially true with Bailey. The author’s characters are always interesting and this even includes the secondary characters. I also really enjoyed the premise of this book. However, I don’t think it was necessarily executed in the best way, but I’ll get to that later. As for Bailey, I found her endearing for the most part. She is exceptionally intelligent and a little quirky, which are the fun little personality traits that I love. Even with her entire world being flipped upside down, she takes it all in stride and I was definitely rooting for her. The elements of suspense was also exciting. These were interspersed throughout the book, but with the bulk of it during the last few chapters. The build up was well done, but it sort of fell a little short at the end. I want to say that I loved Kash, but I didn’t feel like I knew much about him. I do believe some of this was intentional. He is mysterious with a proactive streak. The author peels back a few of the layers, but his character was not well developed. I also think this is why I didn’t feel that connection between Kash and Bailey. The physical aspect of their relationship was pretty solid which I liked but I didn’t really see much beyond that. Again, I think this is because not much was revealed about his character. Maybe a connection between them will be more tangible in the next book. The book grabbed my attention immediately, but it felt like not too much happened until the very end. There were secrets revealed and moments of action which were perhaps my favorite parts of the book and yet the cliffhanger wasn’t overly shocking. Finally, the cover, while absolute stunning is a bit misleading. This isn’t a love triangle as it seems to suggest with two girls and a guy but I honestly have no idea who the blonde is. Even with the lack of connection between the main characters, I did enjoy this book. I especially liked Bailey as the heroine and I liked the underlying story. Yet, I am not certain how the author will get 2 more books out of this. Still, I am invested enough to see how it all plays out and will read the next book. Writing style : 5 stars Story/Plot: 4 stars Heroine Development: 5 stars Hero Development: 3 stars Romance: 3 stars
  • OMG! SO INTENSE!

I knew that I would love this book based on all my other reads by this author. But I was not expecting this to be one of the best I’ve read of 2021. But it’s definitely in my top two. This was such an experience-I was absolutely engrossed from the beginning, sucked into this incredibly, intricate, captivating, smart, witty, steamy, sexy, and brimming with chemistry that was off the charts, romance. OMG!! “THE INSIDERS” captivated me from page one. I was hooked. It was everything I didn’t know I needed and I couldn’t get enough of it. Yes this is a cancel all your plans kind of book. You will instantly be sucked into this story and you will be powerless to put it down! And my first thought after finishing reading was “When can I get my hands on the next book in this trilogy????” I Need It NOW! There is so much I want to say right now but I won’t do that to you. I want you to go into this story and for it to be as much as a mystery as it was for me. So CANCEL ALL YOUR PLANS!! Be prepared to want to devour this book in a single setting... but don’t, savor it. There will be sizzling romance, mystery, intrigue, danger and so many feels and emotion. I haven’t felt this obsessed with a group of characters in a long time. And I was totally dazzled and enamored by Bailey and Kash and their chemistry! It is just so, so...HOT! I LOVED IT!!!
