What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas with the help of some “tiny slice of heaven brownies”. Zora & Dallas friends to lover’s story draw you in and hold you until the end. I loved reading about their dedication and commitment to each other and their friendship as day one friends. Neither of them wanted to admit that they wanted more than just a friendship. I enjoy seeing them come together and get their HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

There’s a reason why, somethings just do not mix. And then don’t even mix well even for well seasoned people. This ENTIRE Series was wonderful to read. Yes I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book via bsprout. But there isn’t a better way to end this series than with Waking Up Married. Well maybe a spin-off of this wonderful KING’s Finest. But I digress, I truly enjoyed reading this book and I am definitely looking forward to seeing more. Any opinions expressed within this review are solely and uniquely made by me and I am happily leaving this review.

As an avid contemporary fiction/romance reader, this book was refreshing. The writer gives a storyline that pulls you in from the first page. Both characters were well developed. The book was a smooth read, and did not lag. Although this is a book in a series, and reading the previous books can give a different perspective, it can be read as a standalone. Dallas and Zora is a sweet story that will make you fall in love with the Family and Author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love Reese Ryan's Bourbon Brothers series. All four of the previous books have been special. Waking Up Married exceeded all of my expectations and then some. This story is definitely on my list of favorite books. I loved Dallas and Zora’s journey. It was funny, sexy and sensual. I am a sucker for the friends to lovers stories, and this one from Reese Ryan didn’t disappoint. With this story you have Zora and Dallas, best friends from childhood who after a night of heavier partying than they planned, wake up married. What I enjoyed most about this story was that their journey to love was a slow build that had been happening for years, so much that neither realized they had always been in love. There was great chemistry between the couple and a strong relationship with the families that added another element to the story.

How have I not read a Reese Ryan book before now?! I really enjoyed this friends to lovers story and can’t wait to go back and read the rest of the series. Dallas and Zora were so great together, but I will say that the Vegas fake marriage trope is not something I love. That’s the only reason why I didn’t give this book 5 stars. I still devoured it in one sitting!

I am a fan of the Bourbon Brothers series and Reese Ryan never disappoints. I really enjoyed Dallas and Zora’s story. Although they had been best friends for years, their attraction for each other only made the situation they were in more difficult. This was definitely a page turner. I can’t wait for the next installment. I recommend this story and the rest of the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Style: Multicultural / Interracial Romance Story: 4/5 Enjoyment: 4/5 Dark Level: 0/5 Sexual Level: GOOD Triggers: No Violence: No Male: Sexy & Lovable Series: Book 5 Pages: loc. 2746 Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited: No STORY: Appealing characters and a sweet story. I normally don’t do friends to lovers because it’s not believable if not done correctly, but this one was done well. Dallas’ and Zora’s friends to lovers are very much believable. Dallas, was just so sweet, adorable and sexy all rolled into one. I look forward to his pov chapters more than Zora’s sometimes. Zora is a strong character with always needing to prove a point with so many brothers. I like that she showed vulnerability and uncertainty with Dallas because we get to see Dallas at work convincing Zora. I just have one question though, where can I buy some of those brownies? I’m planning a trip to Vegas too hahah. CHEMISTRY: Dallas and Zora had good chemistry and I enjoyed watching their relationship evolve. SECONDARY CHARACTERS I have not read this series prior to this, but Zora’s brothers sounds yummy. After reading Zora’s story, I am interested in reading Blake’s story. Cole seems interesting as well. Overall, if you are familiar with the harlequin desire formula, then you will know what to expect. This was a light read for me and I liked it. ***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.
