Description

He’s a smooth talking jock in trouble.
She’s the solution to his problems.
Love is the last thing they expected to find.

Damon Prescott had it all. Star quarterback. Money. Fame. Now? He’s being accused of taking performance enhancing drugs and banned from the sport and team he loves.

Determined to prove he’s innocent, he hires tough as nails private investigator, Evie Wolfe. She’s able to bring a man to his knees with a glare, yet sensual in ways that take him off guard - and she’s everything Damon didn’t know he needed.

Evie’s used to men dismissing her, especially playboys like Damon Prescott so she’s not buying the sexual lines he’s trying to sell. She’s with him to do a job, nothing more. But you know what they say about the best laid plans? Sometimes you end up between the sheets with an arrogant football player anyway.

But when the case is over, can Damon convince Evie she’s the only woman for him or will she leave him tied up in love?

A stand-alone novel.

Wow another great story about the people of Dare Nation . I loved Damon and Evie’s story each had something upsetting going on in their lives, but ended up with their love for each finally coming out . I loved this book and once I started reading couldn’t put it down until I finished it . I highly recommend this book .

It was an ok storyline. I read it to the end. However, it was very very similar to another book i had just read. I had to double check a couple of times just to make sure I wasn’t reading the same book. It only has one or two grammar related errors and that was nice.

I love Carly Phillips’ writing style. the characters and setting of her stories are brought to life and grow in depth as the story unfolds. Brought together out of the need for Evie’s PI skills, Damon get a chance to learn more about a woman who sparks his interest. Professional athletes testing positive for banned substances face immediate consequences. Proving he was set up means hiring Evie to dig around for answers. Having her act as his girlfriend is the easiest way to introduce her to his world. Is it real or not, only time will show them both what lies ahead for them. A great addition to the Dare Nation series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is second in the Dare Nation series and is a enemies to lovers story. The main characters are Damian Prescott and Evie Wolf. Damian is a professional football player trying to clear his name of a false performance enhancing test and Evie is the private investigator hired to prove he was set up. She is also the best friend of his brother’s girlfriend which helps to complicate matters. I liked that Evie had some sass but was also a vulnerable woman especially when it came to men, her ex in particular. Her ex made her second guess all her relationships and second guess Damian’s true feelings for her. I love that we get a chance to continue to hear about the previous characters and keep abreast of their lives. A great addition to the series. I received a copy from the author for an honest review.

This is book 2 in the Dare Nation series and it features Damon and Evie. He needs her. Well, he needs her skills. Later, she ends up needing him and his skills. Any story where a Dare is involved is always sexy.  This is a sexy romance with a little mystery. The story line is fantastic with twists and turns that are sure to keep you guessing. As always, the characters are fabulous! I can’t wait for the next book in this wildly sexy series!

He's in love with her, but she doesn't fit in to his glitzy lifestyle, or so he thinks. But that all changes when Damon tests positive for PEDs. Now he needs her to help clear his name and he's going to see how easily he wants to give up the glitz and how well she can transform herself to fit in to his world. She is his future sister-in-law's best friend and he has been warned off of her. He's known to only hook up, but now he has to play a role and Evie is his new girlfriend. She hates the way he looks down on her, but she needs this job to help build her business. So she's willing to dress up and play nice to get the job done. These two are like oil and water, but they will ignite and burn. The question is, will they burn each other, burn out or fan the flames?
