500+ PAGES OF "CAPTIVATING" AND "UTTERLY CONSUMING" STANDALONE ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS ROMANCE

Once upon a cold, dark night, a Russian killer stole me from an alley.
I’m dangerous, but he is lethal.
I escaped once.
He won’t let me do it twice.

The revenge is his.
The betrayal is mine.
But so are the lies to protect the ones I love.

We’re cut from the same twisted cloth. Both merciless. Both damaged.
In his embrace, I find hell and heaven, his cruelly tender touch destroying and uplifting me at once.

They say a cat has nine lives, but an assassin has just one.
And Yan Ivanov now owns mine.

I loved this book couldn't put it down. Mina is a waitress and she overhears two russians men talking about a hit on someone and she tries to play it off like she didn't understand them. When she leaves her work the same men grab her and take her to their room, but they tell her that they will let her go in the morning. Yan and his twin brother Ilya sometimes share women, but Yan can't see himself sharing Mina with his brother or anybody else. After Mina escapes Yan sees her again after years of looking for her in a picture of a wanted person. Yan has Mina brought to Julian's compound were she tells him what he wants to know, but when they don't have any use for her Peter wants her dead. When Mina wakes up she's in Yan's place because he can't seem to let her go, but when Yan, Ilya and Anton along with Mina are doing a job something goes wrong. When Yan takes Mina to the clinic he finds out something about Mina that breaks his heart.

Yan and Mina’s story is so so good! I love how complex Mina’s character is and how Yan’s feelings for her change as he slowly discovers more about her. The pace is quick but not rushed, considering this story isn’t a series. Out of all the couples in this series—Julian and Nora, Peter and Sarah, Lucas and Yulia, Yan and Mina—this is one might be my favorite. Highly recommend!

I have never been disappointed when it’s come to an Anna Zaire’s storyline and this story is no exception. Having been previously introduced to Yan in the series “Tormentor Mine”, I started out wondering who this amazing heroine would be. I knew she couldn’t be ordinary and that she must be exceptional to end up on Yan’s radar. This story was about Yan and Mina. Yan leads a group of mercenaries, his twin Ilya and their partner Anton. Mina also lived her life void of emotion and full of danger, until a chance encounter collided their worlds. I couldn’t stop the story once I started reading, I just needed to know how it all unfolded. Let me say that this book doesn’t disappoint. It’s so full of hot sex and enough angst to have you bite off all your nails. A must read! Five stars!!

All I can say is WOW, this book just blew me away. Now I have the biggest book hangover and I feel like I need more to make me feel sane again. Anna Zaires and Charmaine Pauls have a wonderful writing collaboration and they created a book that has it all. This book is romantic, dark and immensely satisfying. It took me on a roller coaster of emotions with all the highs and lows and twists and turns. I found the storyline so realistic and gratifying and I loved her characters Yan and Mina. They were two damaged people who made each other whole. It felt like they belonged together and found their soulmate. I love this quote by Yan “Ours is not a sweet romance. It’s larger than love. Darker than love. And it’s hers. All hers.” It exemplifies the whole book to me. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I hope Anna and Charmaine write another book soon. I will forever be their devoted reader.

Devastatingly good! Get ready for an angst-ridden filthy ride you won’t want to get off! Darker than Love is a nail-biting, engrossing enemies-to-lovers tale flawlessly woven by two very talented authors. These ladies slay me every time with their evil genius ability to craft gut-wrenching stories that always manage to keep me up all night long alternately sobbing and salivating as I devour each beautifully written word. Charmaine Pauls and Anna Zaires are brilliant writers on their own. In collaboration, they’re a take-no-prisoners, panty-wrecking dynamo! I floved every minute of the sleep I lost reading this. I hope these two will team up again to bless us with more. #yaminkforever

If you’re familiar with the work these two authors, then you know you’re in for one heck of a rollercoaster ride! I’m a huge fan of both these ladies! I was introduced to Anna’s work when I first read the Twist Me series, followed by Capture me and Tormentor Mine. The possessive alphas take first then work things out, because what matters first is what they want and they will capture your heart in doing so! Yan and Mina met under unlikely circumstances. They both hold similar positions in life that are dangerous and life-threatening. Their love stories starts with a guise of betrayal and lust and is filled with action, adventure and heart-wrenching events. If this sounds up your alley, then get to reading this book asap. Be prepared to fall in love with the words these ladies have cooked up in this very spicy telling of a match no one can compare to.
  • Finding their in the dark was beautiful & perfect.

After reading Peter & Sara’s story (you can read this book as a standalone), I wondered how these authors were going to help me sympathize with Mina. I shouldn’t have wondered, because they did it heartbreakingly in the prologue. Then I started on a dark, dangerous, intense and captivating journey between Yan and Mina. They are instantly attracted to each other, and they are fire together. As the story unfolded with all its gasp-inducing twists and turns and ups and downs in their relationship, all I know is that I wanted Yan and Mina together because they were perfect for each other. They thought they were both numb and emotionless, but it was a beautiful and emotional journey that found them finding love in the darkest of places. Yan and Mina’s relationship was darker than love, as the title says, and it was a perfect and fascinating read. I received an advanced copy of this ebook from the authors for my honest review.

Yan and Mina's story was fantastic! These two had so many of the characteristics that I'm always looking for in my next story and I loved them! This is a darker story and I am very picky about what I can enjoy in a dark romance. Mostly it henges on the hero for me. I was nervous about Yan's character. I never knew what to expect with him. I wasn't sure how far he would take his darkness and use it against Mina. It had me on pins and needles. By the end, his dark, obsessive love for her was everything. Mina was just bonus for me. She was such a cool character and loved everything about this heroine. She is former special forces so that shows she is a woman who can fight and take care of herself. There were several times in this book she proves that. What made her even better was how mature she was and I felt she never had any dumb moments with her safety. Mina is going on my favorite heroines list for sure. I enjoyed this book so much I'm hoping that the two authors will give Yan's brother a book. He was such a great side character and I wouldn't mind seeing more of Yan and Mina if they were to write the brothers book.
