Another great book from Marion Kummerow regarding the privations and brutality caused by Adolf Hitler and his henchmen. This book takes place after the end of the war, but life was still difficult and often deadly. There were many recriminations between the Germans and the allied victors that made life unpleasant on both sides. A number of loose ends are tied up for the Klausen (War Girls) family and their loved ones and friends. This book can be read stand alone, but is best if one reads the entire War Girl series. That series is enlightening and a true education regarding how the Third Reich affected normal everyday people.
