Description

It was wrong to stay together ... but we couldn’t stay apart.

I’ve been with my share of women, but none touched my heart and fired my senses the way she did. Her smile enticed me. Her caresses teased me. Her body aroused me.

And yet, it couldn’t last. There were too many years between us. A gap we couldn’t breach, and we broke it off. No. I broke it off. And  I’ve regretted that decision ever since.

Now she’s in danger, and there’s no one else I trust to protect her. But the more time we spend together, the more I want her back. And all I know now is I have to keep her safe—and despite both of us knowing better, somehow, someway, she will be mine again.

Connor & Kerrie have history, a lot of history. They were an item for quite a while, until he decided their fourteen year age difference was too much of a barrier to overcome. Despite intense chemistry & compatibility, they agree to go back to being just friends. I like that Kerrie is spirited & accepts his decision without being whiny or clingy. She disputes his arguments, offers enticing alternatives, but in the long run is ready to move on if he can’t give her what she needs. Being thrown together on a sizzling & dangerous undercover case may be just what Connor needs to come to his senses, but will his epiphany come too late?

We FINALLY get to delve into the are they or aren't they that is Cameron and Kerrie. The security group takes a new kid and old friend of Kerrie's. Cam and Kerrie are sent undercover for one of their clients to see if corporate espionage is taking place. They go under cover over the weekend at a swinger's retreat hosted by their person of interest. This story has some intrigue and plot twists to keep you on your toes. JK would do well writing a mystery!

This is a great love story between Conner and Kerrie. We have met them in other Blackwell-Lyon’s series. Conner knows that he was right a year ago when he had to let Kerrie go after he finally gave in to his wants for her. She is fourteen years younger than him and he knew that she would be giving up too much to be with him. And he also knew that she should be off limits because Kerrie is his best friend’s sister. So they tried to keep away from each other, other than working together at the business. Then comes an undercover project. Conner must keep Kerrie safe. What a great story!!! You will start the book and you will fly right through it. There is so many ups and down you will feel like you are on a roller coaster. Can’t wait for more sexyness from the Blackwell-Lyon books.
  • Connor & Kerrie’s Story

The small glimpses that J. Kenner has shown readers when it comes to the attraction and feelings that exist between Connor and Kerrie throughout the first two books of her Blackwell-Lyon series had me anxiously anticipating if and how these two would figure out how to be together again, despite the age difference, despite the fact that she’s the little sis of his best friend, and despite Connor’s feelings that he’s not the guy for her. Kerrie’s in a rather tenuous situation - intellectually she understands Connor’s reasons for ending their relationship, but emotionally, she struggles to not feel heartbroken and angry due to the wall that Connor keeps between them because even though they no longer share a romantic connection, they’re still constantly around each other, making it almost impossible for Kerrie not to yearn for something that Connor is just not willing or able to give. The sexual tension and angst is amped up in Sexy Little Sinner, partly due to what some would see as the ‘forbidden love’ aspect of Connor and Kerrie’s relationship but more so due to Connor’s warped view of his feelings for Kerrie and the misguided notions that there are too many reasons as to why they shouldn’t ever be romantically involved again. And even though on some level, I understand Connor’s perspective on things, he frustrated me to no end when he kept going back and forth with his need to keep Kerrie at an arm’s length and his need to pull her close to him and never let her go. The added suspense and action in Sexy Little Sinner actually helps Connor make a decision when it comes to Kerrie, and it also proves just how good Blackwell-Lyon Security is at their job, and with the new addition to the team, which means an added story to the series, it will be interesting to see the dynamics created between the new guy and Pierce, Cayden, and Connor as well as the women they love. 4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

The boys of Blackwell-Lyon are back at it. A quick read from Connor’s POV with the introduction of a new character, Leo, who will be the fourth book’s hero. May-December romance meets second chance romance with a twist of suspense. Previous books in the series hinted at Kerrie and Connor’s previous relationship, but now we get story starting with the catalyst that rekindles their love affair. It’s a bumpy road, but it makes the outcome all that much sweeter. My only issue is a thought Pierce (being Kerri’s brother and all) would have had a slightly bigger roll in this story. When you read this, you’ll understand what I mean.

Connor and Kerrie's story was a good quick read. I loved the age difference between these two and that even though Connor at first thinks it's a bad idea, eventually he realizes he can't be without the woman that he loves. This was a really quick, steamy read. I loved the case that brought them closer together. It was a good read.

This was an enjoyable read. I really liked Kerrie, she didn’t play games and was willing to give Connor what he thought he wanted, which was to move on. The other thing that I liked was that even though Kerrie was the younger sister of one of Connor’s partners, it wasn’t the thought of what her brother would do or think of them being together, especially since they had a previous relationship that Connor ended because of their age difference. The premise of their working together in the environment that they did was not typical. All in all, this was an easy read and a great addition to the Blackwell-Lyon series.

Sexy Little Sinner by J. KENNER The Blackwell-Lyon Series “Whoa there, woman. Let’s leave some room for the Holy Spirit.” This is the third book of The Blackwell-Lyon Series. They can be read as stand alones, but why would you do that? You will fall in love with the characters and want to go back to the beginning to see how it all started. Theses are quick, sexy reads that you won’t want to miss out on! “...if this is our last run...I want to go out wild. I want everything. And then I’m going to store it in my heart, a dirty sweet memory that I can pull out whenever I need to.” This book is loaded with chemistry, jealousy, friendship, mystery and steamy moments. I feel guilty rushing through these stories after all the hours of hard work .Kenner puts into these masterpieces...I just can’t put them down mid-book!

4 1/2 stars. Just as the title suggests, this is quite the sexy little story. JK does her thing in giving us a totally sexy swoon-worthy hero in Connor, and a great story line too! Kerrie is fearless and I really like her. Connor is almost 15 years older than Kerrie, they work together and she is his also best friend's sister. Say no more, right? For all these reasons and some others due to his upbringing, he is torturing himself and Kerrie by not allowing them to be together. They have chemistry for days and are so good together, but he will not go past the friend zone, not again. He feels like their age difference is just too much! They spent almost a year together and then he broke it off. Well, except for that one time things got a bit heated in his brother's laundry room. And that just complicates everything. A well written fast paced story, with an intense case they work on and a great buildup to an HEA all make this a very enjoyable read.

Packed with excitement, Sexy Little Sinner has it all. Kerrie and Connor face drama, action and sexy time that flow all over the pages. The writing was descriptive and at one point I felt like reaching into the book to high-five Kerrie. It made this a quick, lovable read.
