Ideal for the beach, or curling up on the couch with a duvet and a cuppa, the Bliss Bay Village Mystery Series will take you sleuthing with no strong profanity, violence, or sex!

Murder in an English village. Unsolved mysteries. An empty-nester longing for a quiet life. What could possibly go wrong?
Megan Fallon is in a pickle.
As if empty-nest syndrome wasn't bad enough, she's joined the ranks of the unemployed, and her fiancé's run off with her hairdresser.
In desperate need of a change of scene, she heads back to her childhood village home for some long-overdue friends and family time.

Things are looking up until members of the community start getting bumped off at an alarming rate, and Megan finds herself at the heart of an investigation that has her suspecting everyone.
As she becomes involved in the hunt for a murderer, it's not long before she finds out that some of the villagers are harbouring shocking secrets...
Will you guess whodunnit?
This is a clean, lighthearted, mystery read with no strong profanity, violence, or sex, and is written in British English.

  • Too much cheesy filler material

The actual murder mystery was a small part of the story. Too many chapters of filler story. The interaction between the character and her parents is very cringe worthy. I just stopped reading it…

I really enjoyed the trip to Blissful Bay, getting to know all the characters & trying to solve the mystery. It felt like a Hallmark mystery movie. On to book Two!
  • Small Shops Vs. Huge Store

A delightful cozy mystery that reminds one how special a small village can be supportive of its unique little shops and protective of its inhabitants. There is always another view, even if in the minority and causing great trouble. Even a “stray” kitty has an vital contribution to a crime event. Good read.

I really enjoyed this book. Many different things going on. Loved the interaction between the characters. Well written.
  • A bit far fetched.

I really wanted to like this book, but the motive for the murderer , who killed three people was lame. Then what was the point of the heroine’s ex-husband’s wife’s very long standing grudge over not getting picked in a beauty contest? It was mentioned early on, then her character disappeared and then showed up at the end of the last chapter, as nasty as ever. Seems like a pointless addition to the book.

Enjoyable and nice portrait of small community life. Loved the cat as a supporting character. Want to know more about the romance hint at the end!
