All Julie Beresford wants is some time away to make the most important decision of her teaching career. What she finds in the Dominican Republic is a man who not only makes her laugh but gives her the confidence to face her fears.

Contractor Dennis Wilson is supposed to be on a father-son bonding trip, but after that turns into a solo vacation at the last minute, Julie is a delightful distraction from the disappointment.

When his son arrives unexpectedly, Dennis is torn between moving forward with Julie and trying to salvage his relationship with his son. Can they find a way to be together when both their futures are up in the air?
