A wonderful tale of fairies

“Li Mei stared up into the darkness, feeling the plastic toothbrush in her open right hand. She had hoped her parents would fix it, but they hadn’t. Even her parents couldn’t fix it. Fairies were scary. Fairies were powerful. Fairies were mean.”
Li Mei, Who certainly does not want to be the center of anyone’s attention is getting way more than she deserves, all because of a toothbrush!?
No matter what she does to try to get rid of it, The toothbrush pops right back into her hand. And in trying ways of making it go away, she finds the others who have also encountered fairies, some of whom don’t seem to have been “gifted”... and, maybe, some of them ... are boys.....
I love this series! Not only does it showcase the differences in people, it also helps us understand something that as adults we often forget: everyone responds differently to the world around them. I highly recommend this book as well as the others.
