I usually don't keep buying books in a series but I loved these!

Tobias Knight is one really hot book boyfriend and the instantaneous sexual chemistry he feels toward adjunct professor Carolyn Moore is absolute perfection in this sexy romantic thriller that has everything I know I'll find in a book by this wonderfully talented author. I love complex and multi-faceted characters with human flaws and a full ray of lifetime experiences and messy emotions that spoke to my heart and made their story enticingly addictive. This is an extremely well written, smart, and oh-so-sexy love story that has everything worthy of my 5-star rating. My only criticism is that the ending came too quickly for me. I would have gladly devoured another 30 pages to tie up all the loose ends of this happily-ever-after I have come to expect from Jennifer Bernard. I absolutely love this series, and each book just gets better. Tobias and Carolyn were such an amazing couple. I loved how their relationship started out, and how it progressed through the book. I greatly enjoyed the mystery aspect, with the Knight brothers looking into their fathers murder, and also what happened in Carolyn’s past. This was a perfect addition to the Jupiter Point series, and one I highly recommend.

Carolyn Moore is an adjunct Art History professor at Evergreen College and a professor at JPCC. She loves the life she's built for herself, but is lonely. Carolyn, a former member of a cult-like group, has been labeled as a pariah for leaving the commune at 18yrs old. As such, she no longer has a family as they disowned her once she left the commune. Lately, Carolyn has also been the recipient of several threatening letters. So when Tobias Knight shows up in her office, dressed in all black, she feels threatened. So, she knocks Tobias on his butt. Tobias, the protector and brooding Knight brother, is retired from the military. Upon returning to Jupiter Point, he and his brother Ben set up Knight Brothers Flight Tours. They also assist the Hotshots when needed. When Aiden, the youngest Knight brother, approaches his brothers asking permission to liquidate his trust, Tobias goes into protective mode. He drives to Evergreen to figure out who the "Golden Goddess" is that Aiden is willing to leave college for. During "reconnaissance", he believes Carolyn to be the "goddess". Wanting to determine what she's doing pursuing Aiden, Tobias confronts Carolyn at her office. Not only does he get knocked on his butt, but he realizes HE likes Carolyn! Tobias inadvertently finds out about Carolyn's stalker, thus changing the "mission". Now he feels obligated to protect Carolyn at all costs. After assuring that Aiden was not infatuated with Carolyn, Tobias and Carolyn pursue a friends with benefits type of relationship. But what started out as friends with benefits, soon turns into more for Tobias. With Carolyn's childhood, she feels as though marriage equates to loss of independence. Can Tobias change her mind??? Jennifer Bernard has written a fresh, well-written romantic suspense novel. I have not read a story that revolved around a commune. It was very interesting to gain insight on the workings of a commune and how a leader can start off with the best of intentions, then veer off the path in search of ultimate power. I also loved that Carolyn had family, a sister, who loved her and didn't view her as a pariah. Tobias had the patience of a Saint! He was kind, helpful, protective, and funny. I was hoping to find out more concerning the murder, but figure we'll figure it out during Ben or Aiden's story. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Man I love these Knight Brothers and Tobias Knight is one of the best! He's protective, loyal, and definitely sexy. This was a fantastic story and I adored the way Tobias and Carolyn first meet. While at first they seem to be an odd couple, him the alpha pilot and her the art history professor, as their story unfold it becomes clear how perfect they are for each other. You'll want to have this one on the must read list. I highly recommend it.
