4 1/2 STARS! Book two in Tawny Weber's Team Poseidon series is even better than the first as the team digs deep to try to flush out the traitor in their midst! We get to know some of their history better and go on a crash course of his past with Elijah as he works through some issues.  A powerful group of men who know how to show their soft side when dealing with the friendships they hold dear! Lieutenant Elijah Prescott is still trying to pick up the pieces of his sanity after his last mission went haywire. He's heading home on leave to try to figure out what life holds for him now. He's just expecting the relax and regroup, he didn't know he'd be running into his ex-wife and have the past reel him in again! Ava Monroe thought she had moved past their history, but seeing Elijah brings it all screaming to the front again. Their marriage suffered great tragedy and instead of turning towards each other to heal, it split them apart. She turned away from him and found a way to heal herself enough to become a stronger, independent person. Lieutenant Elijah Prescott is so strong, daring and wicked smart, he returns home after a failed mission that almost killed him to try and uncover the truth of what went wrong. Ava Monroe is a sexy, sassy and head strong woman that just also happens to be his ex-wife and the one woman he can never forget. Second book in the series and I most defiantly recommend reading the first book Call to Honor to understand the underlying investigation in to the betrayal they are trying to uncover.

Elijah Prescott has recovered physically but emotionally not so good. On his next mission he had flashbacks during the mission. He knows he needs time away to get his act together. Heading back home he decides to stay with his cousin Mack to think things through. He never thought to see his ex-wife again and all the feelings brought back to the front. Thrown together for a mission was the last thing Ava wanted. Ava working with Elijah and his team was the last thing she wanted but together they finally captured their traitor. So can't wait for next book!!

This is the 2nd book in the Team Poseidon series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding of the series & characters, I recommend reading this fast paced series in order. Elijah has a lot going on at work and in his personal life. He comes home to rest, and runs smack into his ex. He may be ready to make major changes in his life. If only he could decide between the professional and the personal that haunt him. Ava is completely turned upside down to see her ex-husband. Too many memories just bombard her at the sight of him. Can she forgive and forget? It is obvious they still feel something for one another.... and hopefully they won't set anything but themselves on fire with all this heat. Such an incredible series! This book shows that not only is this series getting hotter, but the author just kicks it up a notch with each story. I felt for the characters in this book. I could tell they needed one another. And...the sparks.... well let's just say you may want to read this on with the fan facing you. Something for everyone in this story. ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Second book in the Team Poseidon series and it is better to read the first book if you can. Elijah has been betrayed by a team member. And a marriage to Ava that went horribly wrong. Ava is strong and has moved on to rebuild her life. She works at a gym. Elijah stays with his cousin after her gets out of the hospital and guess who owns the gym? Yep, the cousin. Ava wants to keep it professional and Elijah would like more. The Commander wants to find out who betrayed the team. Another great read by the author and you will not want to miss this book. She and Elijah begin again slowly with their relationship but evil comes a calling and now Ava may be in more danger than ever before.....
