On September 5, a little after midnight, Death-Cast calls Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio to give them some bad news: They’re going to die today.

Mateo and Rufus are total strangers, but, for different reasons, they’re both looking to make a new friend on their End Day. The good news: There’s an app for that. It’s called the Last Friend, and through it, Rufus and Mateo are about to meet up for one last great adventure—to live a lifetime in a single day.

In the tradition of Before I Fall and If I Stay, They Both Die at the End is a tour de force from acclaimed author Adam Silvera, whose debut, More Happy Than Not, the New York Times called “profound.”

Plus don't miss The First to Die at the End: #1 New York Times bestselling author Adam Silvera returns to the universe of international phenomenon They Both Die at the End in this prequel. New star-crossed lovers are put to the test on the first day of Death-Cast’s fateful calls.

The kind of book that forces you to acknowledge the beauty in everything. If death-cast were real; if our world truly revolved around such a system, it’s entirely possible that everyone would hold off on living until their last chance to do so. So this book serves as a wake-up call for me; a reminder to live every moment as if it is your last, because the truth is that is as possible as it is not. I would 100% recommend this book to a friend or to you.

My poor heart thought they were gonna live by the end of the book. Bro, the title says they gonna die. What in the world? I can’t. Lemme move on.

Wow! First of all Adam Silvera is so talented to write such an amazing, well thought out book. I love how everything connects and some things I didn’t even figure out until the end. What a beautiful story. I read this in a day, that’s how good this was!

This is one of my all time favorite books! The mix of emotions I felt while reading was amazing! And the way that the characters grow throughout the book and in such a short time is beautiful.

I was really looking forward to reading this book because of all the positive reviews. I found the concept very engaging but the plot fell flat. I am glad I read it but wouldn’t recommend it.
