**I received an ARC in exchange for my HONEST opinion for this book** I have been waiting to hear Ashwin's story ever since he first made an appearance in the O'Kane world of Kit Rocha's previous BEYOND series, and let me tell you, this book did not disappoint!! As an introduction book to a new series, Rocha gives a great background for both new and returning readers, while delivering a spectacular story line full of steamy moments, page turning drama, and enough characters in the background to keep us coming back for the rest of the series!! As far as Ashwin and Kora... it's about time that they get their moment in the spotlight!! And what a moment it was... an unfeeling solider and a woman who does nothing but feel... can they make it work or will they continue to do nothing but hurt each other?? I couldn't put this book down. Amazing. I can't wait to meet the rest of Sector One!!!

This new book Ashwin exceeds expectations in every since of the word. If you've read the Beyond Series then you're familiar with efficient and stone cold Ashwin who's addicted to Kora, his doctor. But me kept his love so closed off and insular, it was like watching a steamy love affair unfold. I loved every minute of it. If you've never read the Beyond Series, it also is perfectly fine to start here. The dystopian world sets the stage for imagination and fantasy where they create new rules and lifestyle that make for an interesting setting. But this is a true love story that's layered and complicated until they face down their own trepidations. Getting to know Kora was very intriguing. She was much different then I possibly imagined. I loved her openness and determination. Kit Rocha again, paint strong and loving women in such beautiful ways. I read this book immediately after finishing it the first time because I was instantly addicted.

Ashwin is a fun, fast-paced read great for Kit Rocha fans new and old alike. Whether you’ve been with Kit Rocha since the beginning or are a new reader, there’s something for everyone in Ashwin, which marks the first book in a new series from the author. Set in the same world as the Beyond series, the new Gideon’s Rider series explores a new Sector and a new cast of characters in the richly detailed post-apocalyptic world so many of us have come to love. While this book picks up where the last Beyond book left off, you won’t lose much if you start fresh here, making the new series very accessible to new readers. Ashwin’s intensity and focus and Kora’s kindness and empathy make them a wonderful pair with great chemistry. There’s still all of the complexity and character development we’ve come to love from Kit, and it’s interesting watching both Ashwin and Kora face their flaws and fears to grow both as individuals and in their relationship.

I have read all of Kit Rocha’s Beyond Series and loved them so I was excited to read her new one. While Beyond focused on Sector Four and Dallas and his crew Ashwin is our introduction to Sector One and Gideon’s Riders. While Dallas and Gideon may be different leaders the same intrigue follows us. Our story follows Dr. Kora Bellamy who we first met in Beyond Jealousy. She is a doctor who is not only sweet but the best at what she does; and Ashwin a Makhai Soldier we first met in Beyond Innocence, who has been trained to have zero emotion and to be successful to a fault in all tasks assigned to him. We are in the aftermath of the war between Eden and the Sectors. Before Kora defected to Sector One she was Ashwin’s doctor in the top secret Makhai project. Ashwin has been tasked with infiltrating Gideon’s Riders but he didn’t expect to find the only person that is able to break his vaunted control and emotions. Will Ashwin complete his goal for his superiors or will he let his feeling for Kora win? Will Ashwin collect on his favor from Cruz? I am looking forward to more from the people in Sector One. I see many more good reads in my future!!!

What a fantastic way to start a new series!!!! With Ashwin and Kora's story!!! When Ashwin Malhorta shows up in Sector One, the last person he expects to find is Dr. Kora Bellamy, until he really thinks about it. What better place for Kora to end up after the fall of Eden than the one sector where the leaders are truly devoted to the health and welfare of their people. But how will the presence of the one person he will do absolutely anything for affect his mission? Will being near Kora cause Ashwin to destabilize once again? And does it really matter, because surely Gideon is too smart not to see right through the plan the Base put together? I was so excited to FINALLY get Kora and Ashwin's story!!!! And it was every bit as good as I knew it would be!!!

The Beyond series has always been my guilty pleasure. I sniveled like a child when it came to an end but I had faith in Kit Rocha to open a new world for me with intriguing people, take me on a new journey and I definitely was not disappointed. First up is Ashwin and Kora's story. Ashwin is a very complex solider who lives his life without emotion. Kora's love of medicine and healing people is the cornerstone of who she is and all she knows. Hints of Ashwin’s obsession with Kora has been dropped in prior books and always peaked my curiosity. With Kora hiding in Sector One, it was only a matter of time before Ashwin would find her. When they finally come together, Ashwin and Kora's story is the perfect blend of self discovery and a heartwarming chance at first love. The passion they share is smoking hot and all consuming. Breaking down their walls as they both navigate through their feelings for each other and how to adjust to life in Sector One, it is obvious they have finally found peace and acceptance. I really enjoyed the pace of this book. The groundwork has been set for what feels like a more emotional series. Sector One is a whole different world. Gideon leads with faith and the willingness to believe and love for each other. I'm truly fascinated with Gideon now. I want to peel back the layers and discover what's underneath. More information is given about Gideon's Riders and their devotion to him and the community. Getting to see snippets of each one has my curiosity in overdrive! This book kept me completely engrossed from start to finish. Sector One came to life and left me wanting more.
