Christ’s Sympathy to Weary Pilgrims is a treasure chest of comfort and encouragement for God’s children who grieve, who sorrow, who suffer, or who taste bitter adversity in this life. In these pages weary pilgrims will find refreshment for their souls.
Octavius Winslow (1808-1878) was a descendent of Edward Winslow, a Pilgrim Leader. Born in New York, he later moved to England where he held pastorates in Leamington Spa, Bath, and Brighton, England. There he became one of the most valued non-conformist ministers of the 19th century, and in 1861 spoke at the opening of Spurgeon’s Tabernacle in London. Winslow was the author of over forty books, which were filled with experimental knowledge of Christ and the doctrines of God’s Word.
