USA Today Bestselling author Christie Ridgway delivers a delightfully romantic and emotional novel about the power of love, sisterhood, and community in NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES.

Innkeeper Zoe Cash loves the life she shares with her beloved younger sister, welcoming guests to their hillside abode on Abrigo Island off the Southern California coast. She has everything she needs, even a hobby as a local—if not particularly successful—matchmaker. After weathering a personal storm, it looks like only sunny days ahead…until one wounded man arrives and threatens the perfect bubble she’s constructed around herself. He’s making her want, well, more

Astronaut Yeager Gates escapes to the island and the charming inn looking for nothing but a place to heal before getting back to his high-octane life. He’s not made for sitting still any more than he’s made for long-term romance, though intriguing Zoe Cash is tempting him to turn all his set-in-stone plans on their head.

In this unique locale, surrounded by sun, sea, and well-meaning family and friends, two people learn to face their fears and realize that falling in love might just be worth the risk.

I really enjoyed this book. Zoe and Yeager, both with issues, their story was touching. And the secondary story with Deke and Lissa also sweet.

Nothing But Blue Skies by Christie Ridgway is a wonderful romantic story exploring the importance power of love, sisterhood, and community. Zoe Cash loves her life on the island community of Abrigo, off the Southern California coast. She runs a hillside inn, keeps tabs on her sister, is involved in the island community, and is an occasional matchmaker. Yeager Gates, an injured astronaut, escapes to the island to heal and deal with his temporary blindness. I really enjoyed the manner in which Ms. Ridgway wrote her story around these two characters, yet include another story involving the secondary characters Lyssa, Zoe’s sister, and Deke, Yeager’s friend. It takes the Abrigo community of family and friends in order for Zoe and Yeager to face their fears and realize that falling in love is worth the risk. I highly recommend this book to all readers. I truly enjoyed this book and had trouble putting it down.
  • Two Romances in One!

The injured astronaut and his NASA consultant friend arrive on Abrigo Island to stay in the B&B run by two beautiful sisters. I loved this story with two romances in one. As all of them have past experiences that hold them back from making lasting relationships but they soon have strong attractions that make them question their futures. Zoe was beloved by everyone with her loving and kind personality. She was a perfect match for the strong personality of the astronaut. Lyssa was sweet and determined in her pursuit of her much older love interest. The two sisters were in for many changes in their lives! The story was well written and consistent with the details despite having so many people in the story. Their backgrounds were fully explained without having to use flashbacks. This was a fun book to read! I was given an ARC for my honest review.
