Clinical Nuclear Medicine: The Basic, the Advanced, and the Controversial

This volume is a review of the use of PET-CT in oncologic practice. It reviews the technique itself, the radio pharmacology, variants in uptake, and interpretation methods. It even covers controversial topics like self-referral and block leasing. Each tumor type is reviewed, with discussion of etiology (if known), risk factors, clinical presentation, staging, prognosis, and treatment. Specific attention is then given to the role (if any) of PET-CT, as well as interpretive tips and pitfalls. This value is image-rich.
