Description

When readers of dark romance and unbridled desire want to be satisfied, they turn to #1 New York Times bestselling author Lora Leigh and her “powerful and highly erotic” (Fresh Fiction) Breed novels. Now a Breed hides in the world of man—until a woman arouses the amused and wildly carnal animal within...

Once, he was Judd—Bengal Breed and brother to the notorious fugitive Gideon.
After Gideon disappeared, Judd was experimented on until his tortured body knew nothing but agony.

Now he is Cullen Maverick, serving as the commander of the Navajo Covert Law Enforcement Agency in the small community of Window Rock, Arizona. Despite his genetics, Cullen is able to pass as human because his Bengal traits are recessed. He lacks the ability to smell the emotions, bonds and fears that other Breeds take for granted. And he remains tormented that he wasn’t able to mate the woman he loved—at the cost of her life.

He’s no longer a Breed, merely a man. . . or so he thinks. But his tiger is about to be awakened by the one woman destined to be his—Chelsea Martinez. And their world will never be the same...

Gripping tale of a Bengal coming into his own when his independent mate struggles to stay true to herself. Lora Leigh always wraps you up in her characters and a world that fascinates yet keeps you on the edge. Loved this story!

Leigh is just going to make us all salivate and beg for Cassie’s book, but with Wake a Sleeping Tiger I feel like we are closer, but still no idea who her mate will be! The twist at the end was like OMG!  For all those Breed fans out there you won’t be disappointed with the direction the overall plot moves.   The story of Cullen and Chelsea is full of passion and danger, with the right mix of erotic flair that is expected with the Breeds.  I wish I hadn’t guessed who the “bad guys” were so soon.  It was just too obvious.   I am looking forward to future books in the series and seeing where Leigh takes us.  I am giving Wake a Sleeping Tiger 3 Boundless stars it was good.

Another great breed novel. Finally let us see some of the loose ends come together, even if they seemed a bit... off in a way. **spoilers** If you know the series then you know that mating heat isn't something that either mate is given the choice in... which makes me wonder why the main breed in this book thinks it's a choice... perhaps it will be explained, perhaps not. It was an issue every time it came up as I read and my husband asked me why I was yelling at a book.. heh but it does have its good parts and of course steamy as ever. For me though it lacked that spark the other books had. Still a great read and continuation of the breed species.

As all the other books in the series I couldn't put it down. I'm shocked at the twists and turns that came to light hoping answers will be in the next book and I can't wait for it to come out!!
