Description

A new dark romance series from the New York Times bestselling author of Twist Me

She fears him from the first moment she sees him.

Yulia Tzakova is no stranger to dangerous men. She grew up with them. She survived them. But when she meets Lucas Kent, she knows the hard ex-soldier may be the most dangerous of them all.

One night—that’s all it should be. A chance to make up for a failed assignment and get information on Kent’s arms dealer boss. When his plane goes down, it should be the end.

Instead, it's just the beginning.

He wants her from the first moment he sees her.

Lucas Kent has always liked leggy blondes, and Yulia Tzakova is as beautiful as they come. The Russian interpreter might’ve tried to seduce his boss, but she ends up in Lucas’s bed—and he has every intention of seeing her there again.

Then his plane goes down, and he learns the truth.

She betrayed him.

Now she will pay.

I absolutely loved this entire series. I read this after reading Nora and Julian’s story. At first I was a bit hesitant due to what I thought what going to be their story just told via two other people. I can easily say that is not the case. The heat and the obsession is there while these characters came alive on the pages with their own history’s and obstacles to over come. I love the complexity of their relations and their pasts. I feel that the fact that Yulia had a hand in bringing down the plane in Julian and Nora’s story was a great way to start such a complex character. I thoroughly enjoyed reading these books and recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I loved this book couldn't put it down. After finishing a meeting in Moscow Julian and Lucas Kent gave a ride to the interpreter Yulia . Lucas asked Julian that if he wasn't interested in her that he wouldn't mine visiting her. At home Yulia couldn't help thinking that she would be punished for failing at her job, but then she hears a knock at her door and when she asks who is it he says Lucas. When Yulia got the information needed she quickly send a text to her boss without Lucas finding out. After waking up in the hospital and finding out what had happened Lucas knew who was responsible and he couldn't wait to get his hands on her. Now that Yulia is his prisoner all he wants to do is punisher for what she did to cause the plane crash and for all the men that died, but soon he realizes that he wants more from her. When Lucas left with Julian & Nora and Rosa to visit Nora’s parents in Chicago for two weeks it gave Yulia the perfect opportunity to escape with the help from someone on the inside.

My review is for the trilogy. I love Anna Zaires' books......but even though I enjoyed the story, I just couldn't get over Yulia's part in the plane crash. I couldn't understand how Lucas could just let that go. I'm assuming he trained the men on the plane and even if he was not friends with them, he was their leader. For him to just let that go and be ok with Yulia's part in it seemed out of character, esp taking into account his history in the military. Also the storyline with the maid and her interaction with Yulia and the reason behind it was just stupid. It seemed like Julian and Lucas had no control over their staff.......they are supposed to be these ruthless men and yet even the maid runs about amok on the compound. I'm surprised Julian let Lucas handle things with Yulia for as long as he did. I did feel bad for Yulia and her situation/past.....her trauma and how she was used by the spy agency. She admits to have killed during her training but has not killed since......so it was surprising her lack of guilt and remorse for her part in killing 40plus men. It's a fast read and of course, the chemistry is off the charts.

The book was pure magic! My complaint is that the sequels were not quickly distributed. Anna Zaires rocks!

Loved it! Five stars! I always love a spin off book and this one didn't disappoint. We get to visit or revisit old characters and learn more about characters who were only briefly placed in the past books. I'm so looking forward to the next book as I'm hoping there are more sex scenes and hopefully the girl realizes he's not as bad as she thinks. It started with bad intentions but seems like it will be so much more. Loved this and can't wait till the next comes out!!

Anna zaires is still at the top of my list for favorite authors. I loved the krinar and twist me series. Julian and Nora were my favs by far due to the complexity of the character development. I did not feel the complexity as much in capture me. The story was also much shorter than expected. Really wish the first and second stories were combined. I was reading along when it abruptly stopped. I was surprised it was over without really getting started. I will definitely finish the series but I am a little disappointed after reading the last 2 series.
  • Great book!

My only complaint is that this could have easy been made into one or two books, instead of four. Can't wait for the next one!
