Cairo is Egypt’s capital city and is the largest city in both Africa and the entire Arab world. The historic Pyramids are located in the suburb of Giza. The city has a population of 19 million and downtown Cairo is the city’s modern day hub with streets lined with cafés, restaurants, and shops.
